Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha visited and worked in Dong Nai

(DN) - As part of the series of activities of the Careme program for screening cardiovascular - kidney - metabolic diseases "For a healthier Vietnam" in Dong Nai province in 2025, on the afternoon of November 1, a working delegation of the Ministry of Health led by Mr. Vu Manh Ha, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health, had a working session and presented medical equipment to the Chon Thanh Ward Health Station and Nha Bich Commune.

Receiving and working with the delegation was Specialist Doctor II Do Thi Nguyen, Director of Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health .

At the meeting, Director of Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health Do Thi Nguyen reported on the organization and rearrangement of the grassroots health system and medical human resources in communes and wards after implementing the 2-level local government model.

Commune and ward health stations also raised a number of difficulties such as: degraded facilities; limited machinery and equipment, lack of medicine; thin staffing of grassroots health workers, lack of specialist doctors; large workload, while support regime is still low...

Concluding the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha highly appreciated the initiative, responsibility and efficiency in implementing grassroots health care work. At the same time, he requested that localities continue to pay attention to synchronous investment in machinery and equipment; proactively participate in digital transformation in medical examination and treatment management, ensuring that all people have access to basic, timely and quality health services.

After the working session, the delegation inspected the physical facilities of the stations, observed professional activities, and visited the medical examination and treatment at the Chon Thanh Ward and Nha Bich Commune Health Stations. At the same time, each health station was presented with 1 portable ultrasound machine and 1 portable electrocardiograph (4 machines worth nearly 1 billion VND), contributing to supporting medical examination and treatment work and improving people's health.
