Opening of the Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Chongzuo (China) Border Residents Trade Fair

On October 31, at Ta Lung International Border Gate, Phuc Hoa Commune, the opening ceremony of the Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Sung Ta (China) Border Residents Trade Fair took place. Attending on the provincial side were comrades: Nguyen Anh Que, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Vu Anh Tuan, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Phuc Hoa Commune; Pham Xuan Tung, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; and leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors.

On the Chinese side, there were comrades: Hoang Ai Dong, Level II Inspector of the People's Government of Chongzuo City, Guangxi Province; Le Minh Hoa, Deputy District Chief of Longzhou District, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The Organizing Committee cut the ribbon to open the Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Chongzuo (China) border residents trade fair.

Over the past time, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China has been continuously consolidated, developed extensively and achieved many important results. On that basis, Cao Bang province and Sung Ta city have proactively and effectively implemented the common perceptions between the leaders of the two Parties and the two States; promoted friendly exchanges and substantive cooperation in many fields. In particular, on September 12, 2025, the two sides coordinated to organize the Ceremony to announce the upgrading of the Ta Lung (Vietnam) - Thuy Khau (China) border gate pair to an international border gate, including the Ta Lung II - Thuy Khau bridge, opening a new stage in trade cooperation and socio-economic exchange between the two localities.

In the first 9 months of 2025, the total import-export turnover through border gates in the province reached over 1,299 million USD, an increase of 77% over the same period; through the Ta Lung - Thuy Khau border gate pair alone, it reached 778.17 million USD, accounting for 75% of the total turnover of the whole province, contributing significantly to promoting the development of border trade and strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.

At the opening ceremony, a welcome art program with special performances created a lively atmosphere, full of friendship. Representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade of Cao Bang province and the People's Government of Sung Ta city spoke together, affirming their determination to strengthen economic cooperation and border trade, towards sustainable development and common prosperity.

The fair has a scale of 200   booth with the participation of 100 domestic and foreign enterprises. This is an opportunity to connect supply and demand, cooperate in investment, promote trade between Cao Bang province (Vietnam) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) in general and Cao Bang province with Chongzuo city in particular, thereby contributing to promoting economic development in the border areas of both sides.

Within the framework of the program, the ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opened the series of activities of the 2025 Border Residents Trade Fair.

According to the plan, the Fair will take place from October 31 to November 4, 2025 at Ta Lung International Border Gate, Phuc Hoa Commune.
