President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang; Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Do Trong Hung; leaders of several ministries, branches, central agencies and Thanh Hoa province participated in the delegation.

Implementing Directive No. 26-CT/TW dated November 23, 2023 of the Secretariat on organizing the Giap Thin New Year 2024 and Directive 30/CT-TTg dated December 15, 2023 of the Prime Minister on strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical celebration of the Giap Thin Lunar New Year 2024, Thanh Hoa province has prepared to organize cultural activities; has plans to ensure traffic safety and order, security and order; and fully supply necessities and goods to serve people celebrating Tet.

In particular, Thanh Hoa focuses on taking care of Tet for policy families, poor households, workers in difficult circumstances, especially people in areas affected by natural disasters and epidemics. Of which, the province has spent more than 60 billion VND visiting and giving gifts to more than 188,000 people with revolutionary contributions; spent 30 billion VND to congratulate and celebrate longevity for the elderly; mobilized from socialized sources with a total value of 227 billion VND to give gifts to representatives of policy families, poor households, workers in difficult circumstances...

The Prime Minister said that in 2023, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, thanks to the participation of the entire political system, under the leadership of the Party, regularly and directly by the Politburo, the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the supervision and companionship of the National Assembly, the consensus of the people, businesses, and the support of international friends, the whole country has synchronously, resolutely, with a focus on key tasks and solutions, basically achieving the set general goals, in which all social targets were achieved and exceeded, demonstrating the good nature of our regime.

The Prime Minister said that with the viewpoint of considering people as the center, the subject, the goal, the driving force, and the resource for development; not sacrificing progress, social justice, and social security to pursue mere growth; the Party and State always care for people to have an increasingly prosperous and happy life.

Although the country still faces many difficulties, every year we still devote a large amount of resources to investing, supporting, ensuring social security, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people. National target programs on poverty reduction, new rural construction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas are actively implemented and effectively promoted.

With great determination, great efforts and many creative, appropriate and effective ways, Vietnam has achieved impressive achievements in poverty reduction, which have been highly appreciated by the international community. Thanks to the right and effective policies of the State and the joint efforts of the whole community and society, millions of people have risen out of poverty, become rich and return to help the community.

Pointing out five major lessons from the Vietnamese revolutionary practice and the opportunities and challenges in the coming time, the head of the Government requested the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and the political system of Thanh Hoa province to continue to effectively implement the guidelines, policies, and laws of the Party and State, in which economic development is the center, Party building is the key, cultural development is the spiritual foundation; ensuring national defense and security is essential and regular; doing better in ensuring social security, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

Along with that, Party committees and authorities at all levels constantly consolidate and strengthen solidarity, promote the leadership and direction role, create movements and trends for people to actively participate in implementing socio-economic development tasks, cultural development, maintaining national defense and security, ensuring social security..., promoting the province's distinct potential, outstanding opportunities, and competitive advantages, in which the most valuable capital is people, when Thanh Hoa is the locality with the third largest population in the country, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Thanh Hoa people are industrious, loyal, self-reliant, and self-reliant; the culture is rich in identity...

In the immediate future, the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Hoa province will actively participate, support, create conditions and help forces to complete the construction of the 500kV power line circuit 3 from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) on schedule.

The Prime Minister expressed his pleasure to know that, in the past time, inheriting the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation, the Party Committee and the government of Thanh Hoa province have always well implemented the policies of the Party and the State towards people with meritorious services, all levels, sectors and people in the province have always paid attention to care, and increasingly better implemented the movement "Repaying gratitude"; always paying attention to doing well the work of poverty reduction.

"Up to now, 100% of poor districts and especially disadvantaged communes in coastal and island areas of the province have received investment support to develop socio-economic infrastructure. However, the province still has more than 35,300 poor households, accounting for 3.52%, while the national average is 2.93%," the Prime Minister noted.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and highly appreciated Thanh Hoa province for paying attention to and taking good care of social security work and Tet care for the people; wished Thanh Hoa to continue paying attention to social security work, gratitude work, taking care of the elderly, social protection beneficiaries, especially when Tet comes, Spring returns, so that no one does not have Tet; continue to review the subjects so that all people can have a complete, reunited, joyful, healthy, safe, economical, affectionate Tet, leaving no one behind.

"On the occasion of Tet, Spring, and the festival season, besides the beautiful features that need to be promoted, Thanh Hoa must ensure civilization, politeness, safety, thrift, fight waste, fight negativity, and avoid superstition," the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Prime Minister requested Thanh Hoa to focus on building a stable, flexible, multi-dimensional, sustainable and integrated labor market; at the same time, build and develop a comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable social security policy system. In particular, pay attention to building housing for workers, housing for low-income people, eliminating dilapidated houses so that people can settle down and start a new career; ensure that all people have equal access to infrastructure, cultural, sports, health, education, environmental institutions, etc.

For enterprises and employers, the Prime Minister requested that they regularly pay attention to improving working conditions and increasing labor productivity; take care of salary and bonus regimes to contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises; care for, visit and encourage both material and spiritual support for workers and employees to overcome difficulties, feel secure in their work and stay with the enterprise for a long time.

The Prime Minister hopes that the poor and near-poor will further promote their will to be self-reliant, self-reliant and their aspiration to escape poverty sustainably. Workers and laborers should try harder in studying, improving their knowledge, skills, working style and manners, and actively work to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and together build the country to become increasingly rich and prosperous.

Preparing to enter the new year of Giap Thin 2024, the Prime Minister wishes cadres, workers, laborers and all cadres and people of Thanh Hoa province good health, peace, success and happiness.
