Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands and the Prime Minister of Singapore on the occasion of the G20 Summit.

According to a special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, on the occasion of attending the G20 Summit in South Africa, on the morning of November 23, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had meetings with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof sent his condolences and sympathies to Vietnam for the heavy losses caused by storms and floods, affirming that as a coastal country, the Netherlands deeply shares the increasingly complex and serious impacts of climate change and is ready to coordinate and support Vietnam in responding to climate change, further deepening the two Sectoral Strategic Partnership frameworks on responding to climate change through cooperation programs and projects in areas vulnerable to climate change in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked the Netherlands for its support in responding to climate change in the Mekong Delta and conveyed the regards of General Secretary To Lam and senior Vietnamese leaders to the King and Queen of the Netherlands, looking forward to welcoming the King and Queen to Vietnam soon, and invited the Prime Minister of the Netherlands to visit Vietnam.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to comprehensively strengthening relations with the Netherlands - a reliable partner, good friend, and the largest trade and investment partner of the European Union (EU) in Vietnam; requests the Netherlands to soon ratify the Vietnam - EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) to further promote investment cooperation between the two countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit; urges the European Commission (EC) to soon remove the IUU "Yellow Card" for Vietnamese seafood products; as well as further strengthen cooperation in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence (AI), and databases.

The Dutch Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is one of the Netherlands' top important partners in the Asia-Pacific region; agreed to increase the exchange of high-level delegations on all channels; affirmed that the Netherlands is interested in trade and investment cooperation with Vietnam and has sent a delegation of the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation and a business delegation to Vietnam to discuss and seek cooperation opportunities; and asked Vietnam to support Dutch businesses participating in important projects in Vietnam.

The Dutch Prime Minister agreed with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's proposal to continue expanding cooperation in all fields, especially economics, trade, investment, green transformation, science, technology and innovation, and sustainable agriculture.

The two sides agreed to study the content of cooperation to bring the bilateral relationship to a new height in the coming time; closely coordinate to implement the results and commitments of high-level visits; continue to effectively implement and make good use of the great opportunities from the EVFTA agreement and further deepen the two Sectoral Strategic Partnership frameworks on climate change response and sustainable agriculture.
On this occasion, the two leaders also agreed to strengthen cooperation at multilateral forums and discussed a number of international and regional issues of mutual concern.

At the meeting with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully conveyed the regards of General Secretary To Lam and key Vietnamese leaders to the Singaporean Prime Minister, Secretary General of the Singapore People's Action Party Lawrence Wong and senior Singaporean leaders.

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong deeply sympathizes with the loss of life and property in the floods in Vietnam.

The two Prime Ministers highly appreciated the results of the second annual meeting between the Prime Ministers of Vietnam and Singapore in October 2025 in Malaysia. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the two sides continue to strengthen the implementation of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to make it more in-depth, substantive and effective.

The two leaders agreed to continue to coordinate effectively to implement the results and agreements reached during General Secretary To Lam's visit to Singapore, including the Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2025-2030 period.

Regarding some specific areas of cooperation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that Singapore coordinate to develop science-technology, innovation, digital transformation and green growth cooperation between the two countries in a more practical and ambitious manner.

The Prime Minister suggested that the two sides continue to coordinate in building second-generation Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP); building data centers and connecting data between the two economies; enhancing cooperation in training high-quality human resources for Vietnam and promoting cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

Expressing his agreement with the proposals made by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong affirmed that Singapore will continue to support Vietnam in improving the quality of human resources, especially strategic-level officials; agreeing with Vietnam's proposal on connecting databases, initially in the economic, trade and residential fields, and researching and developing a data center at VSIP to further facilitate businesses of the two countries.

Noting that in 2027 Singapore will assume the rotating chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) while Vietnam will be the chair of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Prime Minister Lawrence Wong suggested that the two countries coordinate closely, thereby contributing to the success of each side in its responsibility as the rotating chair of ASEAN and the chair of APEC 2027.
