On the morning of November 24, a representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that at 10:00 a.m. today, the unit will finish receiving and completing relief shipments to promptly send to localities facing difficulties after the floods. As for clothing, as the quantity has been received in full, it will stop receiving from this morning to avoid inventory and ensure reasonable distribution.
Accordingly, in recent days, people in Ho Chi Minh City have sent their wholehearted support to the Central region with a series of trucks loaded with food, clothes, and essential supplies. This solidarity has contributed to helping people in the flood-affected areas overcome the most difficult period.
However, the floodwaters have now receded, so supporting people in post-flood reconstruction is the most important. Specifically, people in the Central region are in dire need of resources for the recovery phase, such as repairing houses, restoring schools so students can return to class soon, rebuilding bridges and roads to ensure safety, and providing equipment to stabilize their lives and livelihoods long-term after the disaster.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, also said that the City always considers supporting people in flood-affected areas as a responsibility and a deep sentiment. "Ho Chi Minh City is committed to effectively using every penny contributed by the people. The support must be in the right place, at the right time, and according to the needs. We also go directly to the field to closely monitor the situation, ensuring that resources reach the people as quickly as possible," said Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, as of November 23, Ho Chi Minh City has transported 211 tons of goods to Khanh Hoa and 130 tons of goods to Dak Lak and the old Phu Yen area. The main items include: drinking water, milk, instant noodles, rice, cakes, canned food, sausages, life jackets, blankets, diapers, sanitary napkins and medicine bags to treat common diseases after the flood.
