“The scenery and climate here give me a comfortable and very familiar feeling,” the Lady shared, and expressed her deep gratitude for the warm and thoughtful welcome that South Africa gave the delegation.
The two sides affirmed that despite being half a world apart, Vietnam and South Africa still share many similarities and support each other in their past struggles for independence and in the current process of national construction and development.
At the Tsakane residential area in East Rand (Gauteng), 38km from Johannesburg, famous for its gold and coal mining heritage from the late 19th century, Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran personally handed over gifts from Vietnam to the people and students here.
From food, household items to school bags and school supplies, all were warmly welcomed by the people and students. The vibrant traditional dances of the African community served as a sincere welcome to the Madam.
Here, Madam Le Thi Bich Tran emphasized that both Vietnam and South Africa attach importance to policies of caring for people's lives, ensuring social security, and improving material and spiritual life.
“The consistent policy of the Vietnamese Party and State is to put the people at the center and leave no one behind,” the First Lady affirmed.
The Lady also expressed her belief that the government and people of Tsakane will continue to make efforts to better care for the lives of the community here.
She hopes that students with difficult circumstances will always try to overcome challenges and strive to study for a brighter future.
You are the next generation, contributing to building the "Rainbow Country" to be more and more beautiful and are bridges connecting the friendship between the people of Vietnam and South Africa.
