The Prime Minister decided to discipline two officials.

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Prime Minister has just issued Decisions No. 1720 and 1721/QD-TTg dated August 12, 2025, disciplining Mr. Le Thanh Hai, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.

Specifically, Decision No. 1720/QD-TTg clearly states: Disciplinary action in the form of removing the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and other positions for Mr. Le Thanh Hai due to violations and shortcomings in his work and the Central Executive Committee has disciplined him on the Party; the disciplinary period is from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1261-QDNS/TW dated May 21, 2024 of the Central Executive Committee.

Decision No. 1721/QD-TTg clearly states: Disciplinary action in the form of forced dismissal against Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, due to violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Secretariat has disciplined him in the form of expulsion from the Party; the disciplinary period is calculated from the effective date of Decision No. 2221-QDNS/TW dated June 27, 2025 of the Secretariat.

The above Decisions come into force from the date of signing (August 12, 2025).
