Ms. Susanna Campbell, President of SYRE Group, said that the Group is a subsidiary of H&M Group and Vargas Technology Investment Company. SYRE's goal is to build large recycling complexes in strategic areas around the world , including Vietnam. SYRE Group has been granted an investment certificate by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province to build a high-tech Polyester fabric recycling factory with an investment of nearly 1 billion USD.
Mr. Adam Karlsson, CFO of H&M Group, said that H&M is a global fashion retailer. In Vietnam, H&M started retail operations in 2017 and currently has 13 stores nationwide.

H&M plans to expand to more than 20 stores in the coming years. Notably, H&M has been ordering from Vietnam for nearly two decades. It currently works with 103 partner factories employing a total of 86,875 workers.
Informing about their plans to expand investment in Vietnam in a green direction, the leaders of H&M Group and SYRE Group requested the Prime Minister to direct and continue to create favorable conditions for the groups to implement their plans more smoothly; and actively participate in the process of converting the Vietnamese textile and garment industry to a circular mechanism.
Congratulating H&M on its success in the Vietnamese market with a population of 100 million; appreciating the activities of H&M Group and SYRE Group in recent times, especially the orientation of developing a global circular textile ecosystem, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that this is also one of the goals that Vietnam is aiming for; hoping that SYRE will share its experience in managing and operating a successful and sustainable circular textile ecosystem.

Welcoming the project proposal of SYRE Group, especially with the goal of turning Vietnam into the first global center for the circular textile and garment industry, applying high technology towards sustainable development, the Prime Minister suggested that H&M Group and SYRE share experiences and participate in the process of building regulations on sustainable development of the textile and garment, leather and footwear industry in Vietnam; using raw materials from Vietnam - a "textile and garment powerhouse" for production; especially properly implementing the commitment to use high technology, standard input materials to protect the environment and promote sustainable development.
Thanking Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for taking the time to receive the delegation and providing guidance and direction on the development of SYRE in Vietnam, Ms. Susanna Campbell and Mr. Adam Karlsson committed to implementing the project to ensure the goals, especially on developing a circular economy and protecting the environment as directed by the Prime Minister.
