Faced with the particularly serious damage caused by floods, on the morning of November 23, 2025 (local time, the same morning Hanoi time) from South Africa, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an urgent online meeting with leaders of ministries, agencies, and localities on the situation and urgent solutions to respond to floods and natural disasters in some central provinces.
After listening to the situation report, discussing the needs for support and relief, especially for isolated areas in localities; the situation of traffic routes, electricity and telecommunications systems, school infrastructure, medical stations; the allocation of financial support and food to localities, concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested ministries, branches and localities to strictly and effectively implement the directions of the Politburo , the Secretariat, General Secretary To Lam, the Government and the Prime Minister regarding flood prevention and overcoming, with priority given to accessing isolated areas.
The Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Ministers to continue to closely monitor the situation and direct the work of overcoming the consequences of floods in assigned areas according to their authority. If it is beyond their authority, they must report to the Government and the Prime Minister for resolution./.
