Promoting educational cooperation between VJCC and Japanese agencies

On the afternoon of September 25, the Vietnam - Japan Human Resource Development Branch (VJCC-HCMC) of Foreign Trade University was honored to welcome Mr. Komura Masahiro - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Mr. Ono Masuo - Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City to visit within the framework of a working trip to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien, Director of VJCC, sent a warm welcome to the Deputy Minister and the delegation, and introduced the process of formation and development of VJCC with the achievements from 2002 to present. The Director emphasized the outstanding feature of the VJCC Project is to contribute to the development of management human resources for more than 1,000 Vietnamese enterprises in many fields of production, manufacturing, trade and services through training programs such as Keieijuku, CEO... combined with consulting activities, business connection, connecting the business communities of the two countries.

In addition to developing human resources for businesses, since 2017, VJCC has been upgraded by Foreign Trade University to VJCC Institute and assigned to implement high-quality Bachelor training programs majoring in International Business according to the advanced Japanese model (JIB) from the 2017-2018 school year and Digital Business (DB) from the 2022-2023 school year. Each year, the two programs attract about 120 students from the TOP 5% of the country to study, increasing the scale of undergraduate training of VJCC Institute to 400 students/year. The training programs are all built on the basis of promoting VJCC's strengths in training, emphasizing practicality, modern knowledge and maximizing the connection network with Japanese organizations such as JICA, JETRO, JCCI ... and Rikkyo University, Chiba University of Technology, Waseda University, Nagano University, etc.

Over the past 22 years, VJCC has always strived to affirm and maintain its reputation as a bridge, a center/hub for information exchange between organizations, associations, businesses, experts, scholars, students and pupils of Vietnam and Japan. VJCC Hanoi and VJCC HCMC have become two venues for organizing many prestigious and quality cultural andeducational exchange events, knowledge connection and business connection.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien expressed her deep gratitude to the Government and people of Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy, the Consulate, JICA, etc. for always caring and supporting the VJCC Project. At the same time, she expressed her hope that the Government of Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JICA and related organizations will maintain close cooperation and provide more extensive support for VJCC in many educational and connection activities, to help VJCC gradually complete the human resource training ecosystem - connecting businesses for the community and society.

At the meeting, Mr. Komura Masahiro, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, shared some information about the working trip and expressed his special interest in the Keieijuku - Advanced Business Program at VJCC Institute as well as his expectations about the value that the program brings to Vietnamese business leaders.

Deputy Minister Komura Masahiro also listened to the opinions of Southern Keieijuku businessmen, expressed his gratitude and expectation that the Vietnamese Keieijuku business community will increasingly expand connections, contributing to the development of Vietnam's economy. The Deputy Minister wished VJCC Institute further development and success in its mission.
