Speaking at the working session, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha welcomed the EuroCham delegation, along with the European Business Community and EU-ASEAN, who came to work with the Ministry of Health.

The Permanent Deputy Minister reiterated the working program with the Chairwoman of Pharma Group and the Vice Chairman of EuroCham, along with representatives of nearly 20 leaders of Pharma Group Corporations and Companies to work with the Ministry of Health on issues related to health insurance, health finance and mechanisms to enhance cooperation in the health sector 2 weeks ago.
Representing the EuroCham delegation and the European Business Community, EU-ASEAN, Ms. Li Chen, Member of the EU-ABC Executive Board, Director of ASEAN Public Relations, HSBC Bank (HSBC) and Mr. Torben Minko, Member of the Board of Directors of EuroCham Vietnam, General Director of B. Braun Vietnam Co., Ltd. affirmed that the working session with Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha was an opportunity for the two sides to discuss issues of mutual concern, share information and enhance mutual understanding.
At the same time, we hope that through this meeting we will learn more about the priorities of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health in its development orientation for the coming time.

The working session took place in an open and friendly atmosphere between representatives of the Ministry of Health and nearly 35 delegates representing 37 member companies and corporations out of a total of 62 member companies and corporations.
In particular, the EuroCham delegation and the European Business Community, EU-ASEAN wish to discuss areas of interest, through 13 questions on issues such as: Pharmaceuticals - vaccines; Institutions in forensic examination, injury assessment, health insurance; Food safety; Cosmetics/Cosmetics; Medical equipment; Disease prevention; Foreign direct investment in Vietnam in the health sector...
Representatives of the Departments and Divisions participating in the working session were directly related to the contents mentioned by the EuroCham delegation and the European Business Community, EU-ASEAN, expressing their desire to learn, approach, and create a stable, transparent and sustainable investment and business environment in the healthcare sector with detailed and focused information.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha emphasized that Vietnam and the EU have established diplomatic relations for 35 years and during that time, many agreements have been signed by both sides. This affirms the role and importance of active cooperation and sustainable development together.
Vietnam always considers the European Union, the European Business Community, and the EU-ASEAN as substantial, important, and effective partners in the process of economic and trade development and deep international integration.
The Ministry of Health always respects and appreciates the active companionship and close cooperation between Vietnam and the European Union, especially the European Business Community and EU-ASEAN operating in the field of health care.

Permanent Deputy Minister Vu Manh Ha said that the Politburo has issued four important Resolutions, including Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025 "On a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health"; Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha expressed his hope that Vietnam and the EU will further promote the spirit of cooperation to turn political commitments into practical actions, bringing positive values to all parties and hoped that the European Union, the European Business Community, and the EU-ASEAN will actively strengthen cooperation and promote the potential and strengths of each side.

At the same time, the Deputy Minister also proposed that the European Union and the European and EU-ASEAN business communities focus on green economic chains, training, research, technology transfer, production of vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and specialized, high-quality medical equipment to serve domestic needs and export.
Enterprises are investing directly in Vietnam by building and expanding factories, cooperating, transferring technology, and sharing experiences with Vietnamese enterprises. Through that, they support international experiences in the fields of health from disease prevention, treatment, vaccine production, and drug production so that people can access good sources of medicine, advanced treatment conditions, and reduced costs...
At the same time, businesses accompany the Ministry of Health in standardizing training, applying AI, digital transformation, and medical equipment so that more Vietnamese people can benefit.

The Ministry of Health has been continuously reforming administrative procedures to meet the practical needs of attracting investment and serving people better and better.
Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha added: The Ministry of Health is completing the Steering Committee on Global Health, chaired by a Ministry leader, and establishing a Global Health Office located at the Department of International Cooperation to advise the Minister on the sector's priority areas, as well as focus areas of cooperation on global health and medicine.
Through this Office, the European Union and the European and EU-ASEAN business communities will strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
