Promoting innovation in young people

In order for cadres, union members and youth to understand and agree on implementation, the Youth Union at all levels has promoted many research, study, forum, discussion and training activities, contributing to fostering digital knowledge and skills, helping youth to prepare to position themselves in the digital age.

Improving digital capacity for union members and youth

Immediately after the Central Youth Union organized the National Conference to study and disseminate Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, national innovation and digital transformation and the Action Program to implement the resolution of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union issued the Action Program to implement the resolution in the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union system.

One of the objectives of the action program is to propagate, raise awareness, and make breakthroughs in innovation of thinking for union members and young people on the development of science , technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Since then, the provincial Youth Union chapters have organized for cadres and young people to study and research the content of the resolution. At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union has organized many activities to improve knowledge and digital skills for cadres and young people.

Recently, within the framework of the Dong Nai Province Youth Pioneers' Innovation Day 2025, the Provincial Youth Union organized a training course on artificial intelligence (AI). Discussing this topic, speaker Nguyen Hung Thang, an expert in the field of science and technology, provided cadres and youth union members with a panoramic picture of the digital labor market in Vietnam, popular and attractive occupations in Vietnam in particular and the world in general. Not only did they learn more information about job opportunities in the digital age and advice on how to avoid being eliminated from the labor market; cadres and youth union members also received information from the speaker on the application of AI in studying and working, especially in the work of the Union and Youth Movement.

As a teacher in charge of the Team Leader at Phan Boi Chau Primary School (Long Binh Ward), every week, Ms. Nguyen Thi Chau Anh organizes Star Children activities. To attract children, she has applied information technology to create Powerpoint slides with animated images, or created boy and girl characters to exchange information about the content of the Star activities to create something new for students... When participating in the training, she learned more skills in applying AI in the Team's activities. In particular, through the speaker's sharing, she clearly realized that in today's era, applying AI for a teacher in charge of the Team Leader not only helps attract team members and children but also prevents herself from being left behind.

In addition to knowledge and skills in using AI, the Youth Union is also equipped with knowledge to ensure information security in the digital age. Not only providing young people with basic knowledge about digital data; common cyber security risks and dangers; security solutions, tools, and processes; experts in the field of cyber security have given advice to help young people know how to prevent fraud in cyberspace, online kidnapping, etc.

In November 2025, the Provincial Youth Union will organize the Dong Nai Youth Festival 2025 in 3 clusters, including wards: Chon Thanh, Binh Phuoc and Tam Hiep with many activities, including activities contributing to promoting the spirit of innovation in young people.

Inspiring innovation in youth union members

Along with activities to equip cadres and young union members with digital knowledge and skills, the Youth Union chapters at all levels also inspire innovation among young union members through forums, discussions, and playgrounds.

Following the success of the Scientific Research Camp for students and young lecturers in 2024, this year, the Provincial Youth Union and the Student Association of Dong Nai province continue to maintain the organization of the camp to create an environment for students and young lecturers to exchange and learn knowledge, skills and experience; at the same time, be "fueled" to be more active in scientific research. The opening of this year's scientific research camp is the Talkshow Accompanying students in scientific research.

Not wanting to let her years in university go by in vain, Ms. Hoang Thi Trang, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Accounting - Finance, Dong Nai University of Technology, participates in almost all activities organized by the school, Youth Union and Association at all levels. According to Ms. Trang, among the activities she has participated in, the scientific research camp has given her a lot of valuable knowledge, skills and experience. At the recent Talkshow "Accompanying Students in Scientific Research", listening to experts share about their scientific research journey, Ms. Trang was motivated to continue to register to participate in the research camp for the second time.

Along with scientific research, the Provincial Youth Union also promotes the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among young people through startup seminars, investment fund connection conferences, meetings with consulting experts to support the startup business community, etc. The common point of these programs is that young people can interact and listen to experts in the field of startups and entrepreneurs - those who have successfully started their own businesses and have influence to share their personal startup stories, about current startup and innovation issues, etc. Thereby, helping young people have a comprehensive view of startups to make their own decisions.

To promote the spirit of innovation in the youth community, the Youth Union, Association and Team organizations at all levels also organize activities such as: The Contest of Joining Hands in Administrative Reform, The Young Informatics Contest for young cadres, civil servants and public employees; Robot Performance and the Contest of Creativity with Robots; STEM and Robotics Festival; Dongnai Esport E-sport Tournament... These activities have contributed to affirming the pioneering spirit of Dong Nai youth in concretizing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.
