The National Assembly Chairman also emphasized the need to synchronously and effectively implement anti-corruption measures, shifting the focus to prevention, proactively identifying, forecasting, and warning of violations early and from afar, not allowing small violations to accumulate into major violations, and resolutely not allowing old violations to recur.
Creating a legal corridor in the work of preventing and combating corruption
At the conference, the Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly acknowledged clear changes in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity of the National Assembly, its agencies, the National Assembly Office, and the State Audit during the 13th National Party Congress term.

At the Conference, the Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly frankly pointed out that the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the National Assembly Party Committee still has limitations such as the completion of legal institutions on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity has not fully met practical requirements; supervision activities in general, including supervision of the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, are still limited and inadequate.

Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee Tran Thanh Man emphasized the need to continue perfecting institutions, reviewing and overcoming loopholes and inadequacies in legal regulations on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; and improving the quality of operations of the Nationalities Council and the National Assembly Committees.

In particular, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man noted the key solutions: Strengthening political, ideological, ethical and lifestyle education for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, raising awareness and sense of responsibility in preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
Other important contents emphasized by the National Assembly Chairman are to increase publicity and transparency of administrative processes and procedures, internal spending regulations, financial management, public assets... "to prevent corruption and avoid abuse of power".
On the other hand, it is necessary to attach importance to the declaration and verification of assets and income of officials and civil servants, ensuring honesty; at the same time, promoting the supervisory and critical role of the press and the people.

The Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly requested to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the new thinking in the work of law-making as defined in Resolution 66 of the Politburo.
