Implementing social insurance policies well - Motivation for business development

With the support and companionship of the Social Insurance (SI) of Krong Nang, many enterprises have implemented social insurance policies well, helping employees feel secure in their work and stay with the unit, contributing to ensuring social security.

For many years, Krong Buk Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. (Krong Nang Commune) has always implemented well the social insurance, health insurance (HI) and unemployment insurance (UI) policies for employees. Accordingly, for employees who work for more than 14 days, the unit will make a list and send it to the Social Insurance agency to implement the insurance policies and regimes in a timely manner, avoiding the situation of unpaid payments.

Ms. H Ai Nie, a latex tapper, shared: “I have worked at the company for 5 years, and for that same amount of time the company has paid full social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. By participating in social insurance, I feel secure in sticking with the company. This is also the motivation for us to try to work harder, contributing to bringing benefits to the company, while ensuring our lives and rights when we reach retirement age.”

Krong Buk Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. currently has 418 employees. Despite difficult times, the company still fully implements social insurance policies for employees. “Determining that human resources play an important role in production and business activities, the unit always coordinates well with functional agencies in caring for, supporting and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of employees. In particular, participating in social insurance is a key factor to improve production efficiency, helping employees promote their abilities in labor and production. This is also a way for the unit to retain employees for long-term work,” said Mr. Luong Van Du, Permanent Deputy General Director of the Company.

It can be said that for any enterprise or unit that wants to ensure production and business activities, the employer must create a good relationship with the employee. In particular, timely and correct deduction of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance not only helps employees receive timely payment of maternity, illness, and accident benefits from the social insurance agency, but also contributes to creating a stable working environment.

49 Coffee One Member Co., Ltd. (Phu Xuan Commune) is also a typical unit in implementing social insurance policies for employees. In recent years, the Company has always actively cooperated with the Social Insurance Agency in organizing propaganda activities, disseminating policies on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance for employees and households contracted to take care of coffee gardens. In addition to the number of indirect workers including 27 people participating in social insurance, the Company also coordinated with the Social Insurance Agency to propagate and mobilize more than 250 workers and households contracted to participate in social insurance. To attract and encourage this group to participate, the Company has had support policies to reduce 2 - 2.5% of output to be returned to the unit for households participating in social insurance. In addition, the Company is also willing to borrow money from the bank to pay to the Social Insurance Agency, and when the harvest season comes, the workers will pay back to the unit.

Mr. Le Quoc Dong, Chairman and General Director of the Company, shared: “In recent years, along with the Company's support policies, the increase in coffee prices, especially the change in awareness, many workers have proactively participated in social insurance. Participating in social insurance not only ensures the legitimate rights and interests of workers but also contributes to stabilizing their lives when they retire.”

Being both a worker and a coffee garden contractor of the Company, Ms. Nguyen Thi Canh has participated in social insurance for more than 10 years with a salary level 5 of more than 6 million VND per quarter. Thanks to fully participating in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance policies, when giving birth, Ms. Canh received maternity benefits from the Social Insurance, allowing her to rest assured. According to Ms. Canh, her parents were also workers for the Company, so when they reached retirement age, both of them received pensions. Currently, each person's pension is more than 5 million VND/month, so no one depends on or has to become a burden for their children and grandchildren.

According to statistics of Krong Nang Social Insurance, there are currently more than 1,000 employees receiving pensions managed by the unit who used to work at 49 Coffee One Member Co., Ltd. This is the premise to create motivation and spread to employees working at the Company, especially local people, in participating in voluntary social insurance.

Mr. Le Van Chinh, Deputy Director of Krong Nang Social Insurance, said: “In the area under the management of the unit, there are currently over 300 enterprises; of which Krong Buk Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. and 49 Coffee One Member Co., Ltd. are two large enterprises, so the Social Insurance at the base has closely followed to coordinate propaganda and develop participants in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. Thanks to good propaganda, mobilization, dissemination of policies as well as close inspection, the rate of enterprises owing social insurance contributions of the management unit is lower than the rate assigned by the provincial Social Insurance.”
