The Standing Secretariat held a working meeting with the Secretaries of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government.

On January 17, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission chaired an online conference to review the work of 2023 with the Secretaries of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government.

Attending the conference at the Hung Yen provincial bridge were comrades: Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. Also attending were comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Pham Van Khue, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Bui The Cu, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Dang Ngoc Quynh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Quach Thi Huong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

2023 is the mid-term review year of the 13th National Party Congress; the Party Congresses of provinces and cities for the 2020-2025 term; a pivotal year of important significance in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the resolutions of the Party Congresses of provinces and cities for the 2020-2025 term and the 5-year socio -economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period. According to the assessment, the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees have closely followed and strictly implemented the leadership and direction of the Central Government; Proactive, creative, flexible in performing political tasks, with the solidarity and consensus of the entire political system, business community and people, localities have overcome difficulties, overcome challenges, comprehensively deployed all aspects of work and basically completed the political tasks of 2023, creating important momentum to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, resolutions of provincial and municipal party congresses for the 2020-2025 term.

At the conference, the Secretaries and representatives of the Standing Committees of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees made statements assessing the implementation of tasks in 2023. They highlighted the highlights in socio-economic development, leadership and direction from local practices in Party building and the political system. At the same time, they pointed out difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process; proposed and recommended solutions for the Central Committee to consider removing difficulties and creating conditions for the successful implementation of tasks in 2024...

Concluding the conference, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission, highly appreciated the opinions discussed at the conference, especially the opinions that raised lessons and creative approaches for localities to learn and replicate.

The Standing Member of the Secretariat analyzed the groups of issues that localities are concerned about related to the continued implementation of the Party's policies and guidelines; key tasks for socio-economic development, in the work of Party building and the political system. The Standing Member of the Secretariat emphasized that 2024 is a year of special importance in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. Faced with intertwined opportunities, advantages, difficulties and challenges, he requested that the Secretaries and Standing Committees of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees uphold their sense of responsibility, especially the responsibility of leaders, closely follow the grassroots, innovate working style and manners, focus on leadership and direction to successfully implement the goals and tasks set for 2024.

Regarding proposals and recommendations from localities, the Standing member of the Secretariat requested the Central Party Office to synthesize and report to the Politburo and the Secretariat to direct central departments, ministries and branches to focus on resolving and removing institutional obstacles to create momentum for development.
