At the talks, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu warmly welcomed FRELIMO Secretary General Chakil Aboobacar leading a high-ranking delegation of the FRELIMO Party to visit Vietnam, affirming that the participation of the FRELIMO Party delegation at Vietnam's important event is a clear demonstration of the close relationship between comrades, brothers and between the two peoples of Vietnam and Mozambique.

FRELIMO Secretary General Chakil Aboobacar thanked the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu for the warm and thoughtful reception, expressing his joy and happiness at visiting Vietnam for the first time on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. FRELIMO Secretary General Chakil Aboobacar expressed his deep impression when witnessing with his own eyes the spirit of solidarity and deep patriotism of the Vietnamese people in the proud and joyful atmosphere commemorating the historic April 30th of the Vietnamese nation.

In an atmosphere of comradeship and brotherhood, the two leaders shared about the situation of each Party and each country and affirmed the importance of preserving and promoting the relationship between the two ruling parties in orienting and promoting the multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Mozambique to become increasingly deeper, more effective and more substantive.

The two sides agreed to promote the implementation of many cooperation activities to enhance political trust, consolidate and expand the cooperative relationship between the two Parties, such as actively exchanging and soon signing the Cooperation Agreement between the two Parties for the period 2025 - 2030, enhancing sharing, consulting, learning from each other's theories and experiences in all aspects of Party building work, fostering and educating patriotism of the younger generation through capacity building training courses for FRELIMO Party officials as well as contact and delegation exchange activities between the two Parties and the two countries in the coming time.

Discussing the specific results of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, the two leaders agreed that the Vietnam-Mozambique cooperation relationship has seen many positive developments in recent times. In the coming time, the two sides agreed to coordinate to effectively implement the Intergovernmental Committee mechanism, continue to promote cooperation in the fields of economics, trade and investment with the highlight being the Movitel telecommunications joint venture of Viettel Group and SPI Company (FRELIMO), closely coordinate in multilateral mechanisms and pay attention to supporting the Vietnamese and Mozambican communities living, studying and working in each country.
