During the visit, General Secretary To Lam held talks with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev; met with the Chairman of the Senate, Ashimbayev; the Chairman of the Lower House of Kazakhstan and Chairman of the ruling Amanat Party, Yerlan Koshanov; the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov; witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation documents and the adoption of a Joint Declaration on establishing a Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Kazakhstan; attended the military parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory Day over Fascism; participated in a roundtable discussion between Vietnamese and Kazakhstani businesses; met with several corporations and enterprises; visited the Astana Financial Center; and visited and delivered a policy speech at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan.

During General Secretary To Lam's state visit, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev respectfully presented General Secretary To Lam with the Dostyk Order of Friendship, First Class – a prestigious award from the State and people of Kazakhstan. General Secretary To Lam expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome extended by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan to the high-level Vietnamese delegation during their state visit.
During the meetings, senior leaders of both countries agreed to highly appreciate the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan, which has been continuously expanding and strengthening over the years; they also had in-depth discussions on measures to promote bilateral relations in the future, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Senior leaders of both countries reaffirmed that Vietnam and Kazakhstan are very important partners in Southeast Asia and Central Asia. Both sides agreed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan in many fields; and emphasized the importance of further promoting and developing bilateral relations in the future. Senior leaders of both countries agreed that developing and deepening Vietnam-Kazakhstan relations is in line with the common interests of the people of both countries and contributes to ensuring peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.
During the visit, the two sides issued a Joint Statement on the establishment of a Vietnam-Kazakhstan Strategic Partnership. Both sides agreed to further strengthen political and diplomatic cooperation; expand cooperation in the fields of defense, security, and justice; broaden economic, trade, investment, and financial cooperation; promote substantive cooperation in agriculture, science, technology, digital transformation, transportation, energy, culture, sports, tourism, education, labor, and the environment; enhance cooperation between localities and people-to-people exchanges; and strengthen regional and international cooperation.
General Secretary To Lam's state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan plays an important role in consolidating the traditional friendship and shaping a new framework for cooperation between the two countries, opening up prospects for effective and substantive cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan, for the benefit of the people of both countries, and for peace, stability, and development in the region.
