The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee approved the content of the Party Congresses of Quang Hanh Ward and Cua Ong Ward.

On the morning of July 18th, Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, worked with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Quang Hanh Ward and Cua Ong Ward to review the content of the First Ward Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, delivered a speech at the working session with the Standing Committee of the Quang Hanh Ward Party Committee.

Following the directives and guidelines of the Central and Provincial authorities, the preparations for organizing the Party Congresses have been carried out seriously and urgently by the localities. The working group responsible for monitoring and guiding the preparation and organization of the Party Congresses under the Provincial Party Committee has also studied and reviewed the preparations of the localities, focusing on the political report to be presented at the Congress. It is expected that the Quang Hanh Ward Party Congress will take place over two days (August 1st and 2nd, 2025); the Cua Ong Ward Party Congress will take place over two days (August 8th and 9th, 2025).

Following the feedback received at the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Standing Committee of the Quang Hanh Ward Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Cua Ong Ward Party Committee to continue perfecting the preparations for organizing the congress, ensuring that it meets the set requirements. Suggesting some points that localities need to pay attention to, he emphasized that for Quang Hanh Ward, further discussion and clearer definition of the congress's motto and theme should be based on the province's guidelines, reflecting a pioneering and groundbreaking spirit, and a willingness to innovate in the next term.

Comrade Do Manh Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Quang Hanh Ward, reported on the preparations for the First Congress of the Party Committee of Cua Ong Ward, term 2025-2030.

From a development perspective, it is necessary to more clearly define the position and strategic vision of Quang Hanh ward after reorganization; to maximize the potential advantages, unique characteristics, and distinctiveness of an area with significant development potential and attractiveness to many investors, striving to become a smart, civilized, and modern urban area; one of the province's leading attractive destinations for tourism and services, and to create world-class products. The targets set must reflect a more proactive spirit and identify breakthroughs linked to the ward's specific characteristics and based on its position in the province's development.

Regarding Cua Ong ward, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that the congress must adhere closely to the guidelines of the Central Government and the province to ensure that the selection process is appropriate to the local conditions. This ward has advantages for development based on its seaport and port services, the Cua Ong Temple, a special national historical site, and advantages in coal industry development, making it a civilized, modern, dynamic, and creative urban area.

Comrade Dinh Ngoc Chien, Secretary of the Party Committee of Cua Ong Ward, reported on the preparations for the First Congress of the Party Committee of Cua Ong Ward, term 2025-2030.

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Cua Ong Ward reviewed the targets in line with the local situation and its feasibility; it must identify key projects and priorities for the next term that fall under the ward's authority and responsibility; and determine breakthroughs to formulate tasks and solutions. In particular, attention should be paid to continuing to strengthen the task of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to ensure its purity and strength; improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations, and the management, operation, and implementation capabilities of local Party committees and authorities to meet the requirements of the new situation; and building a more streamlined, efficient, and effective organizational structure for Party committees and authorities compared to before the restructuring.

In socio- economic development, the ward needs to accelerate the shift in economic structure, identifying high-quality industries, services, and tourism; developing seaports and port services while protecting the environment and ecosystems and adapting to climate change; mobilizing maximum resources and focusing investment on completing socio-economic infrastructure, including the internal transportation system; strongly applying science and technology, promoting the digital economy, smart tourism and services, and the local night-time economy.
