Dong Nai: Speeding up construction to meet the progress of key projects

(DN) - On the morning of October 22, comrades: Ton Ngoc Hanh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Nai province; Duong Minh Dung, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Thanh commune; Ho Van Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, together with leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities, inspected the site of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Construction Project and Long Thanh International Airport.

At the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Project, compensation, site clearance and investment in resettlement areas have been completed. Dong Nai Province is implementing related projects here, including: Drainage Project outside Long Thanh Airport (phase 1) invested by Project Management Board of Region 5, expected to approve the results of selecting contractors to prepare the project feasibility study report in November 2025.

The Long Thanh International Airport Police Station Construction Project has a total investment of about 44.9 billion VND, expected to be completed in October 2025. The project investor is implementing items such as: 3-storey office building, 2-storey staff and soldier accommodation block, guard tower, fence, guard house, underground water tank, garage... with a total volume of about 52%. Particularly, the International Health Quarantine Headquarters Project in the area south of the main road has an area of ​​0.45 hectares with an investment of about 161 billion VND and is organizing the selection of contractors.

For Component 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1, the total implementation value has reached 50.2%. The capital plan for 2025 for Component 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, Phase 1 is 965 billion VND, and to date, 55.5% has been disbursed. Due to the impact of the weather, the embankment construction work has been prolonged compared to the requirements.

Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board said: In the past time, it has regularly inspected and urged contractors to take specific measures to speed up construction progress during the rainy season. In particular, the unit has requested Hai Dang Joint Stock Company to coordinate with subcontractors to urgently construct the overpass road at Km11+183 in package No. 21 after approval.

During the field survey, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ton Ngoc Hanh reminded the relevant parties: There is not much time left until December 19, 2025 to open the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Construction Project; therefore, departments, branches and units must actively urge progress and increase construction shifts to meet the targets assigned by the Central and Provincial Party Committee.

The provincial leaders also noted that investors must strengthen supervision and support construction units in coordinating material sources. In particular, in addition to quickly implementing construction, it is also necessary to closely monitor labor safety and construction quality to ensure stable and long-term use in the future.
