( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of December 13, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, had a working session with agencies and units on the results of implementing key tasks according to the conclusions of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee and the Hanoi Party Committee Standing Committee (referred to as the two Standing Committees). Attending the working session were leaders and commanders of a number of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense.

After listening to the report and comments, concluding the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San praised the relevant agencies and units for their good coordination in preparing the content for the meeting. Agreeing with the report, Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San affirmed that the issues raised at the meeting are of special concern to the two Standing Committees. On that basis, Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San requested that agencies and units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, continue to coordinate with the functional agencies and localities of Hanoi city to speed up the implementation of tasks according to the conclusions of the two Standing Committees; assign the General Department of Logistics to fully absorb the opinions of the delegates, complete the draft report, and serve as a basis for the working group of the Ministry of National Defense to work with the working group of Hanoi city.

Lieutenant General Vu Hai San also requested that for projects that are being implemented and have achieved initial results in site clearance and completion of legal documents, agencies and units need to coordinate and quickly implement the project to ensure compliance with investment policies and purposes, avoiding waste of resources. For projects that are still stuck, when receiving the handover, the assigned management unit needs to organize protection and guard measures to prevent illegal encroachment or complicated situations from arising.

Pursuant to the regulations on coordination in leadership and direction of the implementation of military and defense tasks associated with socio-economic development in the capital city of Hanoi between the Central Military Commission and the Hanoi Party Committee, in order to unify the implementation of the regulations and conclusions of the two Standing Committees, the Minister of National Defense issued Decision No. 1371/QD-BQP dated April 10, 2024 to establish a working group for coordination. After a period of implementation, up to now, out of a total of 12 tasks that the two sides have focused on coordinating to solve, 7 tasks have achieved initial remarkable results. However, in addition to the advantages, the implementation process of the tasks in general still has some difficulties and problems, leading to some tasks being implemented slowly, mainly related to the completion of procedures; site clearance, land handover; approval of adjustments to project investment policies, capital allocation, etc.
In order to improve the effectiveness of coordination in performing military and defense tasks associated with socio-economic development in Hanoi between relevant agencies, units and localities, based on some achieved results as well as difficulties and problems encountered, the General Department of Logistics has recommended and proposed related contents to military agencies, units and the Hanoi People's Committee.
