Tien Giang: Workers' movement and trade union activities achieved many results

In the first 6 months of 2025, Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor admitted 5,970 new union members, reaching 29.85% of the target; established 5 grassroots trade unions (GC) at enterprises with 20 or more employees, completing 100% of the set target. The work of introducing outstanding union members to the Party was focused on, with 736 union members introduced (reaching 53.6% of the target), of which 474 comrades were honored to join the Party. 100% of new grassroots trade union chairmen received professional training. The Provincial Federation of Labor also organized 9 training courses for 1,815 union officials at all levels.

The conference commended 13 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement.

More than 114,240 union members and employees have had access to legal information related to labor and the union. Unions at all levels have visited 13,540 union members, workers, civil servants, and employees with a total amount of nearly 6 billion VND; supported more than 3,115 workers, civil servants, and employees with loans with a total amount of 15.2 billion VND.

295/146 enterprise trade unions organized activities to respond to Workers' Month 2025, exceeding 202.05% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The forums "Workers for businesses, businesses for workers" and "Thank you to workers" have created a strong influence.

Mobilized 830.78 million VND and provided funding to build 35 "Union Shelters" with a total amount of 1.9 billion VND. The program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025 took care of 139,876 union members and workers with a total budget of over 64.6 billion VND...

The conference also announced and handed over the Decision to end the activities of the Trade Union at the level directly above the grassroots level. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor issued a Decision to dissolve 14 Trade Unions at the grassroots level (11 District-level Trade Unions, 2 Industry Trade Unions, and Trade Unions of Industrial Parks in Tien Giang Province) and to end the activities of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of 14 Trade Unions at the grassroots level from June 15, 2025. Trade Unions at all levels in the province have issued decisions to end the activities of 849 grassroots trade unions (400 grassroots trade unions of state administrative agencies, 449 grassroots trade unions of public service units). The Provincial Federation of Labor received 524 grassroots trade unions.
