Midfielder Thuy Trang is proud to be with the Vietnamese women's futsal team competing at the Asian playground.

On the afternoon of May 6, the Vietnamese women's futsal team had their last training session before the opening match against the Hong Kong team (China), taking place at 4:00 p.m. on May 7 (Vietnam time). Sharing at the training session, Tran Thi Thuy Trang affirmed her pride in wearing the national team's jersey, ready to fight for the national flag in her first futsal match in the continental arena.

This afternoon's training session was held at the same time as the match to help the players get used to it and achieve their best condition. Although the cold weather somewhat affected their physical condition, the whole team still maintained a high spirit of determination.

Sharing before the match, player Tran Thi Thuy Trang expressed her excitement when participating in the Asian futsal tournament for the first time: “I have participated in many Asian finals in football, but this is the first time I have participated as a futsal player. I am very excited and proud to be here. Hopefully, my teammates and I will have a good performance.”

Thuy Trang also admitted that the differences between futsal and 11-a-side football, from field size to tactics, caused her many difficulties: "However, I received a lot of support from the coaching staff and teammates to integrate and improve every day."

Regarding her opponent Hong Kong (China), she shared: “I have never faced this team, but through watching the video , I can see that they have made a lot of progress. However, I believe that if the whole team plays at their best, we can absolutely win”. “I come to the tournament with pride as a Vietnamese woman, ready to compete with all my might and hope to contribute to the team’s success”.

On the AFC homepage today, captain Trinh Nguyen Thanh Hang was recognized by the AFC as the first Vietnamese player to participate in three Asian Women's Futsal Championships - a proud historical milestone for Vietnamese women's futsal.
