Receiving support to overcome damage caused by natural disasters

On August 15, the group of compatriots from Yen My district (formerly), Hung Yen province in Hanoi donated 121 million VND and 3 tons of rice to Son La province to overcome the damage caused by natural disasters. Attending the reception was comrade Vi Duc Tho, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

At the reception, the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province informed about the damage caused by natural disasters in the province. At the same time, they sincerely thanked the group for sharing with the people affected by natural disasters. They committed to allocating and supporting localities to overcome the consequences of storms and floods in a timely and appropriate manner. The representative of the group of compatriots from Yen My district (formerly) in Hanoi deeply sympathized with the losses that Son La province had to endure due to storms and floods; expressed and hoped that the group's support would help people reduce difficulties and have better living and production conditions after the natural disaster.

As of 5:00 p.m. on August 15, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province has received nearly 35 billion VND in cash and through treasury and bank accounts to support natural disaster prevention and control work. In addition, organizations and individuals have also supported many items such as rice, instant noodles, milk, disinfectants, etc. All resources will be allocated by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee in a timely, public, transparent, and appropriate manner for the people in the flood-affected areas.
