Empowering infertile families on their journey to have children

After seven years of infertility, after saving up a small amount of money, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen (Phu Tho) went to the Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital to find a chance to have children through in vitro fertilization (IVF). Luckily for Ms. Huyen, the time she came for examination coincided with the time of the "Golden Week 2023" program. Not only did she receive a free examination, Ms. Huyen also received support to reduce the cost of IVF. With this lucky opportunity and the dedicated care of the doctors and nurses, Ms. Huyen was fortunate to conceive twins and give birth to two healthy children.

Just as lucky as Ms. Huyen, Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyet's family (Thanh Hoa) is also one of thousands of families that received a lot of medical examination support during Golden Week 2024. Nearly a year since receiving the lucky gift, her child is over one year old and growing healthy.

Specialist Doctor I Pham Van Huong, Deputy Director of the hospital, shared that the financial burden as well as the psychological pressure of infertile families who want children is something that the hospital always pays special attention to. Over the years, the hospital has implemented many preferential programs for customers, including IVF warranty commitments.

After more than 10 years of accompanying infertile couples on their journey to find their beloved children, the "Golden Week" Program of Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital has become a meaningful milestone, recognizing the continuous efforts in supporting families "hunting" for their beloved children.

This year, the program "Golden Week - Nurturing Happiness 2025" will take place from May 12 to 25 with free examination, consultation, ultrasound, testing... reducing costs of paraclinical testing and supporting funding for IVF.

Master, Doctor Le Thi Thu Hien, the hospital's professional director, said that the golden week is not only a program to support costs for patients but also a continuation of the trust and hope that the hospital wishes to bring to infertile families across the country. Through the program, the hospital also wishes to promote and raise awareness among people to pay more attention to reproductive health issues in general and infertility in particular.

"In addition to giving away 10 free packages of 100% cost-free in vitro fertilization (IVF), this year the hospital also gives away 20 free packages of single-gene embryo pathology testing and 10 free packages of testicular microsurgery to find sperm (Micro TESE), all through the form of file review. Couples who have failed IVF will receive a 50% discount on the cost of re-doing IVF. This is the hospital's goal in long-term companionship with the infertility community, not only helping families "have children" but also "have healthy children", Dr. Hien shared.
