NDO - On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), on the afternoon of May 14, at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch (No. 01, Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Ward 13, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City), a special exhibition took place: "The South forever remembers His grace" and a ceremony to receive artifacts of President Ho Chi Minh's portrait and other artifacts donated by domestic and foreign countries.

With 135 documents and images, the exhibition content on the topic shows Uncle Ho's deep affection for the South and the affection of the Southern people for Uncle Ho, which is one of the important factors contributing to the Great Victory of Spring 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.

135 documents and images on display include 4 parts. They are: Part 1: Saigon-Gia Dinh in the 1910s, when Nguyen Tat Thanh came to find a way to save the country; Part 2: He searched for the image of the country; Part 3: The South in His heart; Part 4: Ho Chi Minh City, His name forever shines.

Portrait of President Ho Chi Minh made of lotus seeds by artist Le Moc Oanh. "The most beautiful lotus in Thap Muoi, the most beautiful Vietnam has the name of Uncle Ho", inspired by the above verses, author Moc Oanh - a young artist in Lap Vo district, Dong Thap chose lotus seeds from his hometown Dong Thap, creating a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, with a size of 4.8m x 2.4m, made from 100kg of hand-roasted lotus seeds, choosing 6 degrees of natural color to form a painting, with more than 200 steps, covered with a layer of glue to preserve for many years.

Through the work, the author wants to convey his feelings and express his gratitude for the great contributions of Uncle Ho - the beloved leader of the nation. In addition, the author hopes to inspire young people about love for the country, national pride and the spirit of preserving the homeland's identity from the rustic material, Dong Thap lotus seeds.

10 books in French about President Ho Chi Minh were presented by Mr. Philippe Chaplain, former Deputy Mayor of Bourg la Reine, Paris. Mr. Philippe Chaplain, former Deputy Mayor of Bourg la Reine, Paris, is currently a businessman and President of the French National Heritage Federation. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and History. Since 2003, Mr. Philippe has been interested in Vietnamese history and started collecting postcards and documents about Vietnam. He has contributed many postcards and documents, and organized exhibitions of collections about Hanoi from 2006 to 2010. He has been collecting many documents to donate to museums in Vietnam, including the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch.

Mr. Tran Huu Phuc Tien, on behalf of Mr. Philippe Chaplain, donated documents to the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch, including books about President Ho Chi Minh in French, including President Ho Chi Minh's Testament; Appeal and Eulogy of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Workers' Party in French and Vietnamese, published in 1969 after President Ho Chi Minh's death.

With his love for President Ho Chi Minh, Mr. Tran Cong Dan came up with the idea, sketched and completed a gold-plated portrait of President Ho Chi Minh within a month to present to the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Uncle Ho's death.

The song "Love the May Gift" by Musician Nguyen Van Hien, Master of Musicology, Former Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Musicians Association, Former Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association.
