Mr. Le Phu Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh province emphasized: "Learning to swim is not only a simple sport activity, but also an essential life skill, especially for children in Quang Binh province - a place with a dense system of rivers, streams, ponds and lakes and is often affected by natural disasters and floods. The province's policy is to prevent children from drowning due to lack of necessary knowledge and skills. We are committed to working with theeducation sector and social organizations to make swimming an important part of the summer and school activities program."
Students demonstrate swimming skills at the launching ceremony.
The ceremony to launch the nationwide swimming training program to prevent drowning not only marks the beginning of a series of summer physical training activities, but also sends a strong message about the responsibility of the whole society in protecting the safety of children. Within the framework of the program, activities such as skill camps, free swimming classes, first aid instructions for drowning and children's swimming competitions will be widely deployed in localities in the province.
Student representatives from across the province pledge to actively practice and participate in safe swimming lessons with a passionate and creative sportsmanship spirit. At the same time, they will be young propagandists, encouraging students to understand the benefits and skills to prevent drowning.
This activity is expected to contribute to changing the awareness of the younger generation, and is also a message to all levels, sectors and the whole society to continue to pay attention and invest in expanding facilities, organizing many free swimming classes - especially in remote areas where children have little access to a safe water environment.../.
