On the morning of April 26, the Vietnam Folk Arts Association (VNDG) in Ha Tinh organized a scientific seminar "Research on preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of Tien Dien - Lai Thach region to serve the economy and society".
This is a provincial-level scientific research topic chaired by Professor, Doctor of Science Nguyen Huy My and his colleagues, focusing on investigating, surveying, and researching the cultural heritage system of the Tien Dien - Lai Thach region (belonging to Nghi Xuan, Can Loc districts and Hong Linh town). The goal is to fully identify the potential of heritage (tangible, intangible, and documentary), thereby proposing solutions to preserve and promote values to serve socio-economic development, especially the orientation of building a cultural tourism village.
The topic has 5 topics: Research on the cultural heritage of Tien Dien - Lai Thach region (tangible heritage, intangible heritage and documentary heritage); In-depth research on the contributions of the famous person Nguyen Huy Oanh in the fields of culture andeducation , as a basis for proposing UNESCO to honor him as a World Cultural Celebrity; Research on the influence of Truong Luu village on Nguyen Du and Truyen Kieu, the educational tradition of Truong Luu village. These 3 topics are the contents that need to be clarified to serve as a scientific basis for proposing UNESCO to honor: World Cultural Heritage - Truong Luu Cultural Village.
Topic 4: Research and propose solutions to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritages in the Tien Dien - Lai Thach region, in the current conditions of international integration. Topic 5: Feasibility study on the proposal to build a Tien Dien - Lai Thach tourist route (following the road Nguyen Du used to take from Tien Dien to Truong Luu) to develop the economy and society.
At the seminar, there were 10 opinions from delegates who are researchers, artisans, and cultural managers at all levels. The opinions focused on clarifying the contents of the topics raised in the research topic such as: identifying and clarifying specific data and timelines of the life stages of historical figures in the topic; clarifying the relationship between the personal life of the Great Poet Nguyen Du in relation to his clan and hometown of Tien Dien; authenticating anecdotes about Nguyen Du, Nguyen Huy Oanh, and stories related to specific historical moments...
The delegates also proposed many research directions to meet the development context of Ha Tinh as well as the country and the world today such as: research topics in the approach to cultural industry, tourism development....
Closing the discussion, Ms. Phan Thu Hien - Head of the Vietnam VNDG Association in Ha Tinh thanked the researchers and delegates for their interest and understanding of the research topic, and for contributing many valuable opinions. The opinions will be synthesized and researched by the group of authors implementing the topic during the process of completing the topic.
