Vietnam has many export potentials and advantages.

According to the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, Vietnam currently has more than 1.3 million hectares of fruit trees with an output of about 15 million tons per year. Of which, bananas cover 161,000 hectares with an export turnover of nearly 380 million USD in 2024, helping Vietnam become the 9th largest banana exporter in the world . Vietnamese banana products are present in China, Korea, Japan, EU, USA...

Pineapple also reaches an area of over 52,000 hectares, coconut nearly 202,000 hectares and passion fruit more than 12,000 hectares. All are tending to expand exports and develop deep processing.

At the forum, delegates discussed issues on production status and market opportunities for passion fruit, banana, pineapple and coconut; solutions to improve competitiveness for the coconut industry; technology trends in preliminary processing, preservation and development of fruit value chains...

The forum aims to promote the connection of domestic agricultural product consumption, orienting production according to the value chain from production - preliminary processing - processing - consumption, focusing on advantageous products such as passion fruit, banana, pineapple, coconut... Thereby, enhancing the value of agricultural products, regional specialties and local brands.

At the same time, the forum seeks solutions to expand international markets for key fruits, aiming to increase sustainable exports and enhance added value for Vietnamese agricultural products in the global supply chain.

The forum is a dialogue space between managers, experts, businesses, cooperatives and farmers to share experiences and build strategic solutions to improve competitiveness and sustainable development of the fruit industry.
