On August 13, Binh Tien Ward Police, Ho Chi Minh City issued a notice to the Police of 168 communes, wards, and special zones under Ho Chi Minh City Police to coordinate in searching for Huynh Quoc Khanh (born in 1990, from Soc Trang ). This notice was issued when his family came to the police to report that Khanh had been missing for more than half a month.

Ms. Tran Cam Sin (born in 1972) filed a complaint stating that Khanh had come to Ho Chi Minh City from the old Soc Trang (now Can Tho province) to work for hire for many years, staying in alley 10, Mai Xuan Thuong street, Binh Tien ward. According to Ms. Sin, Khanh was a hard-working person, had no financial conflicts with anyone. Khanh enjoyed playing games on his phone after work.

At the end of July 2025, Khanh's family tried to contact him many times but could not get through, so they went to Ho Chi Minh City to look for him. Through the camera of a house on Mai Xuan Thuong Street, the family discovered that on the afternoon of July 28, Khanh took a motorbike taxi and left his rented room, then lost contact.
The family searched everywhere but found no results. According to the description, Khanh is 1.7m tall, weighs 70kg, has black hair, and at the time of his disappearance, Khanh was wearing a blue T-shirt, jeans, and was not carrying any luggage.
After receiving the information, Binh Tien Ward Police made a record and sent a notice to the police of communes, wards, and special zones under Ho Chi Minh City Police to coordinate in searching for Khanh.
