According to Koreaboo , Haesoo passed away at the age of 29. She was identified as a “female trot singer in her 30s” who was reported by Korean media to have passed away on May 12.
Previously, on May 13, police said they found the body of a female singer in a hotel room but hid her identity.
At the time, authorities announced that they had found a letter written by the singer. With no foul play found, police suspected it was a suicide.
Haesoo died at the age of 29, suspected of suicide.
At the time, the media referred to the singer as A, revealing that she began her career as a trot singer, majoring in traditional Korean music in college. The press added that A was not only active in music programs but also in variety shows.
Faced with the above information, the media and fans suspected that A was Haesoo. People tried to contact the female singer by phone but no one answered. On Instagram and fan websites, many posts prayed for peace and called for Haesoo but there was no response.
While the audience was confused, on May 15, YTN TV station (Korea) announced that Haesoo could not participate in a performance at a festival on May 20 due to his sudden death.
According to Kpop Reporter , Haesoo was born in December 1993. She majored in pansori (a type of music performed using traditional chamber music scales) at Korea National University of Arts.
She debuted in November 2019 with her debut album My Life, My Way . Her stage name Haesoo means “deep and bright like the sea”. In 2021, she released her second single album Ggonggmuni . The beauty is said to have become more famous after appearing on shows such as The Trot Show , AM Plaza , and Gayo Stage .
Haesoo's last appearance on television was on the Lunar New Year special of Immortal Songs (KBS 2TV) in January.
