Liverpool medical examination of young midfielder worth 35 million euros
According to transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have reached an agreement to recruit Giovanni Leoni from Parma for a total fee of 35 million euros, including 31 million upfront and 4 million in add-ons.
The 18-year-old centre-back is expected to complete a medical in the next 24 hours before signing a contract with The Kop.
A year ago, Leoni joined Parma for a fee of only 4 million euros. Therefore, the Serie A representative almost immediately nodded to the generous offer from The Kop.
Leoni is considered one of the most promising young faces of Italian football.
Last season, the Italy U19 international played 17 times for the Enio Tardini team in the domestic arena and contributed 1 goal. Besides Leoni, Liverpool are also said to be paying special attention to Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace.
Real Madrid breaks the bank to buy young talent from Tango country
According to AS, a newspaper close to Real Madrid, the Santiago Bernabeu team is preparing to introduce new player Franco Mastantuono on the afternoon of August 14 (local time), on the occasion of the young Argentine talent's 18th birthday.
Previously, the Spanish Royal team reached an agreement with River Plate early in the summer, with a fee of nearly 45 million euros.
On a personal level, Mastantuono has also agreed a six-year contract and become the fourth new player to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window of 2025.
The attacking midfielder also set a record as the youngest player to play for Argentina in an official match in June, aged just 17 years, 9 months and 22 days.
Before agreeing to join Santiago Bernabeu, the talent born in 2006 received attention from a series of big teams such as Chelsea, Man United and PSG.
Last season, Mastantuono played prominently in River Plate’s 4-3-3 formation. Although deployed on the right flank, he often moved into the middle, acting as a modern “number 10”, able to pass, dribble and shoot.
Milan welcomes new player worth 20 million euros
AC Milan's homepage announced that it has completed the deal to recruit Koni De Winter from Genoa for 20 million euros, including 2 million euros in additional fees.
The central defender born in 2002 also signed a 5-year contract, with a salary of 1.8 million euros per season, excluding bonuses.
Initially, the Rossoneri were interested in Giovanni Leoni of Parma. However, the asking price from the Enio Tardini team was too high, causing the Milanese giants to decide to switch to De Winter.
The Belgian international is seen as a worthy replacement for Malick Thiaw, who has just moved to Newcastle.
Fulham increase price to buy Brazilian striker
Despite a tough stance from Shakhtar Donetsk, Fulham have no intention of giving up their pursuit of striker Kevin Santos.
Recently, the Craven Cottage team raised the price to buy the Brazilian striker to 37 million euros, plus additional fees.
However, the offer from the Premier League representative is more than 10 million euros lower than the Ukrainian team's wishes.
Negotiators from both teams are still at the negotiating table to reach an agreement on a reasonable price. If all goes well, Fulham will welcome the new player from the samba country early next week.
Many people think that the London team is entering a rather risky deal. Because Kevin Santos' talent is not really worthy of the above mentioned high price. After 35 appearances for Shakhtar in all competitions last season, the 22-year-old striker only contributed 9 goals.
Newcastle speed up search for Isak's replacement
Newcastle have also shown signs of fatigue after Alexander Isak's decision to leave. The Northeastern giants are trying to find someone to replace the Swedish striker.
Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace), Jacob Ramsey (Aston Villa), Yoane Wissa (Brentford) are all in the sights of the St James' Park team.
Among the above names, Wissa is said to be closest to joining Newcastle.
This striker has just been isolated from the main squad by his home team Brentford, not allowed to participate in training sessions with the first team because he has continuously tried to find ways to leave.
The 28-year-old striker himself is very excited about the prospect of playing in the Champions League and has already reached a personal agreement with Newcastle.
Harvey Elliott bid farewell to Liverpool?
According to Sky Sports, Harvey Elliott is seriously considering leaving Anfield this summer.
The new star who helped England U21 win the European Championship loves the atmosphere at Liverpool but is struggling to find a place in coach Arne Slot's first team.
At the age of 22, Elliott wants to leave to find a suitable destination, which will give him more opportunities to play. This attacking midfielder is also said to have had a private meeting with the team's leadership and coach Slot to clarify his future because he does not want to waste the precious years of his career.
Currently, many teams are ready to roll out the red carpet to welcome Elliott, including notable names such as: RB Leipzig, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Galatasaray or his old team Newcastle.
