Accordingly, the train running time of metro line 1 serving passengers on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025 is from January 24 (December 25) to February 2 (the 5th day of Tet).

Accordingly, from January 24 to 28 (from December 25 to 29, the year of the Dragon), the Ho Chi Minh City metro train will operate from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

On January 29, 2025 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), the train will operate from 0:30 to 2:00 and from 5:00 to 22:00.

From January 30 to February 2 (from the 2nd to the 5th of Tet At Ty), the train operates from 5:00 to 22:00.

Thus, during the peak period before Tet, the HCMC metro train will operate 1 hour longer than the remaining time.

Providing more information about the passenger transport situation after nearly 1 month of free operation, Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1 (HURC1, the operator) said that from December 22, 2024 to present, metro line No. 1 has carried out 5,408 trips with more than 2.65 million passengers (exceeding the target by 246% compared to the plan).
