Specifically, HAGL, chaired by Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc (Bau Duc), transferred all of its capital contribution at A Dong Construction Investment and Consulting JSC for VND6 billion. The value of the return was VND1 billion higher than the initial investment.

Accordingly, Asia Construction Investment and Consulting Company is no longer an affiliated company of HAGL from May 20. Currently, Mr. Duc's HAGL only has 12 subsidiaries left.

Over the past years, Mr. Duc has continuously "transferred" companies, shares, entire projects in Myanmar, hydropower, hotels... to restructure debt.

According to data from Batdongsan, the real estate market in April 2025 adjusted after a surge of interest in March. Part of the reason for the cooling of the market in April was due to the long holiday.

In the rental market, the interest level in April 2025 decreased by 19%, the number of listings decreased by 13% compared to March. In the same time range, in the buying and selling market, the interest level decreased by 18%, the number of listings decreased by 6%.

Meanwhile, in the buying and selling market, the number of listings has only slightly adjusted, showing that sellers still expect long-term demand. However, compared to the previous month, the fluctuation in interest levels by segment has decreased relatively.

Specifically, land plots decreased by 18%, apartments decreased by 20%, private houses decreased by 14%, and townhouses decreased by 14%. The fluctuation in the number of listings by segment also decreased simultaneously. The report also shows that Hai Phong and Hung Yen are the two northern provinces that receive the most attention in April 2025.

Hand, foot and mouth disease cases increase in Ho Chi Minh City

According to the report of Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) on the afternoon of May 21, in week 20 (from May 12 to 18), Ho Chi Minh City recorded 916 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, an increase of 40.1% compared to the average of the previous 4 weeks.

The total number of hand, foot and mouth disease cases accumulated from the beginning of 2025 to week 20 is 6,711 cases. Districts with high number of cases per 100,000 people include Binh Tan district, 11 district and Nha Be district.

At some hospitals such as Children's Hospital 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, the number of children with hand, foot and mouth disease has increased sharply compared to the same period in 2024 and exceeded the average of the past 5 years. In the first three months of 2025, the hospital received and treated more than 140 cases of the disease.

In 9 months, Ho Chi Minh City had 15 cases of cosmetic surgery complications.

At the conference on patient safety in cosmetic surgery organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, there were about 350 doctors and representatives of hospitals and cosmetic facilities in attendance.

The Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that from September 2024 to now, the city has recorded 15 cases of complications in cosmetic surgery. Although there were no deaths, there were 3 cases of serious complications related to liposuction.

Specifically, there were 6 cases of complications due to injections, 5 cases related to facial surgery, 4 cases of liposuction (3 serious cases). Of these, only 3 cases occurred at the hospital, the rest were at other clinics and cosmetic facilities.

The City Health Department Inspectorate has issued 130 decisions on administrative fines, with a total amount of nearly 6.7 billion VND.

Of these, 46 establishments were temporarily suspended from operation, 11 establishments had their operating licenses revoked, 14 individuals had their practice certificates revoked, and 32 individuals were found practicing without certificates.

Common violations include: practicing without a certificate, providing services without a license, practicing beyond the scope of expertise, employing people without a certificate, not ensuring sterile conditions, using drugs of unknown origin, false advertising, and encroaching on the beauty industry without a license.
