USD exchange rate 'surging' again, banks sell at ceiling price

The State Bank announced the central exchange rate on June 24 at 25,058 VND, up 30 VND from the previous day. With a 5% margin compared to the central exchange rate, commercial banks are allowed to buy and sell USD in the range of 23,805 - 26,310 VND.

Recorded at commercial banks, exchange rates increased sharply, especially in the selling direction to the ceiling.

Specifically, at Vietcombank , the USD buying and selling prices are listed at 25,960 - 26,310 VND/USD, up 9 VND in the buying direction but up 31 VND in the selling direction compared to the previous session.

At BIDV , the buying and selling prices at this bank are 26,015 - 26,305 VND/USD respectively, an increase of 32 VND in selling and unchanged in buying.

On the free market, USD was traded at 26,320 VND/USD (buy) and 26,420 VND (sell), up 25 VND in both directions compared to the previous day.
