Stock market forecast to reach 1,600 - 1,650 points in August

According to a report by Yuanta Vietnam Securities Company, the VN-Index ended July 2025 at 1,502.52 points, recording an increase of 9.2% compared to the end of June.

This positive development helped the main index of the Vietnamese stock market return to its old peak, while reinforcing the view that a long-term uptrend is gradually being established.

Yuanta Vietnam's analysis team assessed that the next resistance zone that the market could reach in August is in the range of 1,600 - 1,650 points, with the main driving force coming from stable demand and cash flow into the market showing no clear signs of weakening.

An important supporting factor emphasized is the low interest rate level in the context of many alternative investment channels not being competitive enough.

Although the 12-month P/E ratio of VN-Index has approached the 10-year average, at around 15 times, Yuanta Vietnam still maintains an optimistic view in the short and medium term.

The report pointed out a series of factors supporting the growth momentum such as: tax policy risks have been partly resolved, GDP is forecast to grow by 7.4% in 2025, credit is expected to increase by over 17%, along with expectations of market upgrade and foreign capital returning to net buying.
