Heavy rain on November 16 caused landslides in some areas on Khanh Son Pass (Khanh Hoa province). The rain also flooded some sections of National Highway 1 through Cam Lam commune.

On the evening of November 16, the leader of the Khanh Hoa Traffic Works Maintenance Management Board said that due to heavy rain, on the evening of the same day, some locations on Khanh Son Pass (on Provincial Road 9, Khanh Hoa Province) had landslides.

According to the leader of Khanh Hoa Traffic Construction Maintenance Management Board, the authorities are urgently collecting rocks and soil and clearing fallen trees.

"In addition to Khanh Son Pass, we have arranged forces on duty 24/7 at key locations on Khanh Le Pass and Ngoan Muc Pass to handle situations when landslides occur" - said the leader of Khanh Hoa Traffic Works Maintenance Management Board.

Meanwhile, on the same day, heavy rain also flooded some sections of National Highway 1 through Cam Lam Commune (Khanh Hoa Province). Traffic police were present to direct traffic through this area. In addition, some roads in Bac Cam Ranh Ward (Khanh Hoa Province) were also partially flooded.

In Trung Khanh Vinh commune (Khanh Hoa province), heavy rains and water flowing into streams in the area caused the water level to rise. Currently, the spillway of Ba Cang village (road to Song Cho hydropower plant) has been flooded, the water is flowing very fast and very dangerous.

Authorities have put up cordons, warned of danger, and not allowed people to pass through the above area.

In Nam Nha Trang ward (Khanh Hoa province), on the same afternoon, the Nha Trang port border guard station - Khanh Hoa province border guards brought a number of people isolated due to prolonged heavy rain in the Nui hamlet area (Thanh Phat residential group) to a safe place.

According to the Khanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station, from the afternoon of November 16 to November 18, there is a possibility of a flood occurring on the rivers of this province, with the flood peak on the rivers in the province at alert levels 1-2, and Dinh Ninh Hoa River at alert levels 2-3, with the flood peak occurring on November 17.

On the same day, Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training sent a document to its affiliated units, People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones on proactively responding to localized heavy rains, flash floods and landslides. In particular, schools proactively let students stay home if there is heavy rain.
