Cosmetics made in China are imported by Mailisa in containers - Photo: Cut from clip
Cosmetics are arriving by the containerload, Mailisa is constantly 'sold out' due to too many customers
"This time, we have 4 containers, 60,000 sets," Ms. Phan Thi Mai, owner of the Mailisa beauty salon chain, happily announced to customers on her official TikTok channel, in a video posted in 2025.
The imported product is a cosmetic set under the brand name Doctor Magic, line N3, advertised to be able to help reduce melasma, freckles, age spots... and sold for 2.3 million VND/set. Temporarily, this amount of goods can bring in about 138 billion VND.
However, Ms. Mai emphasized that the number of tens of thousands of sets above is still too small compared to the more than 100,000 phone numbers (customers) who have ordered and are waiting to buy. Therefore, she chose to prioritize old customers before new customers, and explained that it is not because she does not respect new customers, but because she "owes a debt to old customers" so she has to pay.
She also said that there was a situation where some people were hoarding the goods to resell. The original price was 2.3 million VND/set but was pushed up to 3.8 - 5 million VND/set. Therefore, this time the system resolutely limited 1 set of cosmetics/customer to avoid hoarding. "The other side is producing, they can't produce in time and have to sell them all at once," she added.
Regarding quality, Ms. Mai affirmed that the product is safe and has many certificates. "We have built our brand for 27 years, would the Mailisa family dare to sell low-quality cream?", she emphasized, at the same time using the boasting of the wealth and grand scale of the beauty salons as a guarantee of prestige.

Notably, over the years, Mailisa has continuously imported large quantities of cosmetics to Vietnam. Many videos posted show each shipment of 4-5 to dozens of containers, but still cannot meet the needs of customers.
Regarding origin, beauty salon chains often introduce products as "imported goods" or "foreign goods".
Based on the packaging of the intensive moisturizing cream, dark spot fading cream, skin tone brightening cream... under the Doctor Magic brand that is widely sold by Mailisa, the unit responsible for production is Guangzhou YBM Biotechnology.
This is a cosmetics factory in Guangzhou - China, famous for its model of receiving orders for processing and manufacturing for small and medium brands.
Depending on the type, each set of Mailisa cosmetics usually costs from 1.2 to 3.5 million VND. To achieve effectiveness, many customers are recommended to use it long-term, corresponding to several years, the amount spent can be from tens to hundreds of millions of VND/person.
Product categories disappear from website

The "Products" category was still visible mid-week, but now (November 16) has disappeared from Mailisa's official website - Photo: Screenshot
According to Tuoi Tre Online , as of today, November 16, the "Products" category on the menu bar of the official website mailisa.com is no longer displayed, suddenly disappeared. Currently, there are only groups of categories such as: introduction, cosmetic color spraying, skin treatment, surgery, other beauty services, contact.
According to archived documents from mid-week, reporters accessing the website still saw the "Products" section. When clicking on it, the system displayed full images, descriptions and prices of the Doctor Magic cosmetic sets, which were heavily promoted by Mailisa.
For many years now, in addition to selling directly to customers using beauty services at beauty salons, Mailisa has also continuously introduced these cosmetic sets on many different channels such as websites, business switchboards, Facebook, TikTok... At the same time, she has actively livestreamed (streamed online) to advertise and close orders.
According to the system owner, TikTok Shop is not the priority distribution channel when "out of stock". However, when entering the Mailisa - Doctor Magic online store on this e-commerce platform, it was recorded that there were more than 73,700 products sold, showing billions in sales.
Recently, the police and riot police have simultaneously appeared at many Mailisa beauty salon branches across the country. At some facilities, the authorities collected documents and equipment to serve the investigation.
Although there have been rumors about the quality and safety of Doctor Magic products, there has been no official confirmation so far. However, there have been some customers who have gone online and offered to resell the cosmetics they purchased, accepting a loss compared to the original price.
Previously, Mailisa repeatedly affirmed that all Doctor Magic products have a legal cosmetic declaration form issued by the Drug Administration ( Ministry of Health ), meeting safety standards before circulation. If testing detects that the content of heavy metals, microorganisms, etc. does not meet standards, the beauty chain system will resolutely return the goods to foreign partners.
