Accordingly, in the document on suspension of circulation and recall of cosmetic products, issued on November 13, the Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health announced the suspension of circulation and nationwide recall of the product LYZEEN Whitening protective spectrum sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ (Receipt of Announcement Form number: 264798/25/CBMP-QLD).
This product is brought to market by C&B International Import Export Trading Company Limited (Vinh Thanh Commune, Phu Tho Province), manufactured by SINDO P&G CO., Ltd (Korea).
The reason for the recall is because the cosmetic product sample was examined at the Institute of Criminal Science of the Ministry of Public Security with an SPF (sun protection index) index of less than 70% compared to the declared level on the packaging.
The Economic Police Department, Phu Tho Provincial Police determined that this sunscreen product is "counterfeit", based on the provisions of Point b, Clause 7, Article 3 of Decree No. 98/2020/ND-CP dated August 26, 2020 of the Government and the Economic Police Department - Phu Tho Provincial Police has prepared a file to handle administrative violations.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Department of Health of provinces and cities to strengthen communication and information to cosmetic businesses and educate local people not to trade in violating products; return the products to the suppliers and promptly report to the authorities when detecting the above products;
Proceed to recall the above-mentioned violating products; inspect and supervise units implementing this notice, and handle violating units according to current regulations.
The local Department of Health is also required to direct the Testing Center to increase sampling and quality inspection of cosmetic products circulating in the area; set up a hotline to receive information about fake cosmetics, smuggled cosmetics, and cosmetics of unknown origin in the area, to promptly coordinate with the authorities to verify and handle.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests C&B International Import-Export Trading Company Limited to send recall notices to distribution and usage establishments of the above products; Receive returned products from business establishments and recall all violating products.
At the same time, send the above product recall report to the Drug Administration before November 30.
In addition to the above sunscreen product, the Drug Administration also issued a document announcing the suspension of circulation and nationwide recall of the Panda baby Bach Lien Gel product batch - box of 1 tube of 30g.

The reason for the recall is because the product test sample did not meet the quality standards for microbial limits.
Previously, on November 5, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province Police issued an arrest warrant and search warrant for 3 suspects including: Dinh Van Lien (born 1981, residing in Long Binh Ward, Dong Nai Province); Nguyen Thi Tuyen (born 1982, residing in Tam Hiep Ward, Dong Nai) and Nguyen Quoc Vu (born 1978, residing in Tan Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the crime of Manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods.
During the investigation, the defendants initially confessed to their crimes. As a result of the search at the scene and the headquarters of the related companies, the authorities seized many vehicles, machines, records, and documents serving the production and trading of fake Hanayuki Sunscreen Body.
In particular, defendant Nguyen Quoc Vu (Doan Di Bang's husband) is the legal representative and General Director of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited - the legal entity behind the Hanayuki cosmetics brand. This is determined to be a serious case, attracting great public attention.
