AFFIRMING THE ROLE OF THE ECONOMY'S DRIVING SYSTEM
"Owning" more than 600 employees, product distribution markets across the country and some countries in Southeast Asia, Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Thanh Sen Ward) has established a solid position over the past many years with a revenue growth rate of 15-20%/year. Particularly from the beginning of 2025 until now, despite many difficulties in the pharmaceutical industry, the company still achieved revenue of over 320 billion VND and launched nearly 10 new products to serve the treatment of diseases. Currently, the company is continuing to invest in building a production line system for ointment products with a total capital of more than 50 billion VND, expected to be put into operation in 2026.
At Viet Hai High-Tech Components Manufacturing Company Limited (Vung Ang Economic Zone), to improve productivity and production efficiency, the company has implemented a piecework system, motivating employees to work harder. In addition, the company focuses on applying high technology, regularly maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure the chain operates at maximum efficiency and actively expands the market.
According to Mr. Truong Hong Phong - Head of the Company's Administration Department, with a team of 121 employees, the company achieves an average productivity of 3,000m of structural piles/day, ensuring an income of 14-15 million VND/month for employees. Thanks to its focus on product quality, the company has built a reputation with partners and customers. After only 3 years of operation, the company's prestressed centrifugal concrete pile products have been present in many large projects in provinces and cities across the country.
CURRENTLY THE WHOLE PROVINCE HAS OVER 13,000 ENTERPRISES AND SUBSIDIARIES, NEARLY 1,000 COOPERATIVES AND 1,560 INVESTMENT PROJECTS.
The picture of the province's business development in recent years has recorded efforts to adapt, flexibly overcome difficulties and effective steps in business strategies in all fields of trade - services, industry, construction... According to statistics, the whole province currently has over 13,000 enterprises and affiliated units, nearly 1,000 cooperatives and 1,560 investment projects. This area contributes about 60% of the province's GRDP, 65% of the province's budget revenue, creating jobs for 98,000 workers.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - Acting Chief of Provincial Statistics said: In the first 9 months of 2025, Ha Tinh's economic growth reached 8.05%, in which the business sector is the main contributor. In particular, many "locomotive" enterprises have a high influence on the growth index such as: Hung Nghiep Formosa Iron and Steel Company Limited, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant, VinES Battery Factory...
IN THE 9 MONTHS OF 2025, ENTERPRISES, COOPERATIVES, AND BUSINESS HOUSEHOLDS IN THE AREA HAVE PAID MORE THAN 6,395 BILLION VND IN TAXES AND FEES OF ALL KINDS, IN WHICH MANY ENTERPRISES PAID HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF VND.
According to data from Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department, in the first 9 months of 2025, enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the area paid more than 6,395 billion VND in taxes and fees of all kinds, of which many enterprises paid hundreds of billions of VND such as: Saigon - Ha Tinh Beer One Member Co., Ltd. (nearly 544 billion VND); Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (over 348 billion VND); Petrolimex Ha Tinh One Member Co., Ltd. (290 billion VND); Vung Ang Petroleum Joint Stock Company (205 billion VND); Giang Nam Petroleum Company Limited in Ha Tinh (nearly 190 billion VND)...
Mr. Le Duc Thang - Chairman of Ha Tinh Business Association commented: “In the context of many difficulties, enterprises have developed, become the driving force of the economy and actively contributed to solving employment and income for workers, implementing social security policies with a budget of tens of billions of VND each year. Along with the rapid increase in number, the business community in Ha Tinh has also had a strong shift in industry structure. The number of enterprises in the fields of processing - manufacturing, energy, supporting industry... has increased rapidly”.
REMOVING "BOTTOM LINES", ACCOMPANYING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Along with the internal capacity of enterprises, in recent times, all levels and sectors have synchronously implemented many solutions to remove difficulties for enterprises, creating an open and transparent investment and business environment. Thanks to that, administrative reform indexes, people's satisfaction level, provincial governance efficiency... have been significantly improved. In recent years, Ha Tinh has been trusted by large investors to be the "destination" for many large-scale projects such as VSIP Industrial Park, VinFast Electric Car Factory, Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park. The projects not only contribute to promoting economic growth but also open up many cooperation and development opportunities for local enterprises. In the first 9 months of 2025 alone, the whole province had 33 projects and 1,303 newly registered enterprises and affiliated units, which is a positive signal showing the province's efforts and investors' confidence.
At Vung Ang Economic Zone - where many key enterprises are concentrated, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board always accompanies enterprises from the survey, investment, project construction to production and business stages.
Mr. Tran Viet Ha - Head of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board said: "The unit regularly meets and exchanges directly with enterprises to grasp and remove difficulties; promotes administrative procedure reform, tries to shorten the time in carrying out procedures for investors and enterprises; coordinates with localities, departments and relevant branches to urge, promote and support enterprises to implement new projects; promptly resolves difficulties and problems in the process of project implementation as well as in production and business".
The tax sector also actively supports businesses in accessing preferential policies of the Government. In the first 9 months of 2025, thousands of businesses in the province have had their taxes and fees extended and exempted with a total amount of more than 1,976 billion VND.
Mr. Tran Danh Quoc Bien - Deputy Head of the Department of Management - Business Support No. 1, Ha Tinh Tax Department said: "The tax sector has promoted propaganda, support, and removed obstacles in tax administrative procedures; helping businesses save time and costs in fulfilling tax obligations. At the same time, supporting businesses to access the Government's tax extension and exemption packages and land rent. Thereby, contributing to helping businesses overcome difficulties to develop production and business".
THE PROVINCE'S INTRUSION, LISTENING AND PROACTIVENESS HAS CREATED AN OPEN INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT, HELPFULLY HELPING ENTERPRISES TO EXPAND THEIR SCALE AND DEVELOP PRODUCTION AND BUSINESS.
Mr. Le Duc Thang - Chairman of Ha Tinh Business Association said: "We highly appreciate the spirit of companionship and support from the authorities at all levels and functional branches for the business community. Not only reducing administrative procedures, the province also regularly organizes dialogues and resolves difficulties for businesses in a timely and substantive manner. The province's openness, listening and proactiveness have created an open investment environment, helping businesses feel secure in expanding their scale and developing production and business. These are important factors contributing to strengthening the confidence of the business community and attracting new investors to Ha Tinh."
Accompanying businesses, departments and branches regularly organize training sessions on tax, marketing, e-commerce, administration, etc. to support the improvement of management and operation capacity. Since the beginning of the year, credit institutions have repeatedly reduced interest rates, implemented preferential credit packages; simplified lending processes and procedures, etc., creating conditions for businesses to access capital to promote production and business.
The Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the Action Program of the Provincial Party Committee implementing Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development (PED) set the target that by 2030, Ha Tinh will have about 18-20 thousand operating enterprises, the average growth rate of the private economic sector will reach about 10-12%/year; the private economic sector will contribute 60-65% of GRDP and total budget revenue of the whole province.
To achieve the set goals, Ha Tinh continues to make efforts to improve the investment and business environment, reform administrative procedures, create favorable conditions for businesses to operate and promote efficiency.
