Concluding the Conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested ministries, branches and People's Committees of provinces and cities to continue to synchronously and drastically implement solutions according to the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order, the Road Law, Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP... to restore order, build habits and culture of law compliance when participating in traffic. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that localities need to maintain regular and close leadership and direction in ensuring traffic safety; promote propaganda and raise awareness of law compliance, especially for motorcyclists and students - high-risk groups.
The Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Public Security to coordinate with localities to urgently review and thoroughly handle shortcomings in the traffic light system, signs, traffic "black spots" and other existing problems on the road and railway systems. The authorities need to closely monitor the area, increase patrols, control and strictly handle violations to enhance deterrence; at the same time, promote the application of technology in transport management, route monitoring and cold fines, contributing to building civilized traffic awareness.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested ministries and sectors to soon develop mechanisms and policies to encourage businesses to invest in developing public transport, thereby reducing personal vehicles and protecting the environment - especially in large cities. Along with that, it is necessary to continue to innovate the content and form of propaganda on traffic safety laws in a diverse, practical and suitable direction for each target group./.
