Singing loudly on the international stage
With the dream of bringing Vietnamese music around the world , over the past year, singer Ha Anh Tuan with the live concert project "Sketch a Rose", 100% pure Vietnamese has been successfully held on magnificent and iconic stages around the world. First is the Esplanade Durian Theater (Singapore) then the Sydney Opera House (Australia) to the Global City stage (Vietnam). Notably, on October 18, "Sketch a Rose" was successfully held in the "sanctuary" Dolby Theater (USA) - where the annual Oscar awards ceremony is held and gathers the world's top famous faces. In front of more than 3,400 audiences, singer Ha Anh Tuan sang passionately and proudly through nearly 30 Vietnamese songs newly arranged with the orchestra and guests.
In 2025, singer My Linh boldly carried out the first Asian tour of her career called "My Linh Hello Tour 2025". The first destination was Yokohama (Japan) on September 14 and then Seoul (Korea) on October 11. This was a special tour with My Linh's family, musician Anh Quan, and young singer My Anh accompanying her.
The journey to bring pure Vietnamese shows to the world is not only for veteran singers. Singer Vu also had 2 concert nights "Museum of Regret" in Melbourne and Sydney (Australia) on November 5 and 8, attracting more than 3,500 audiences. Previously, female singer Van Mai Huong attracted attention with the live show "Huong - Live in Tokyo" in Japan in April 2024, with about 1,000 audiences...
Production units have also boldly brought successful concerts in Vietnam to foreign countries. One example is the concert “Anh trai say hi” held on July 26 and 27 on the PH Live stage at Planet Hollywood - a famous stage located in the heart of Las Vegas Strip (USA), which used to be the venue for regular concerts of international stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera...
Spreading Vietnamese music to the world
Performing a purely Vietnamese show abroad is not an easy journey. Behind the bright lights are many months of meticulous preparation. With “My Linh Xin Chao Tour 2025”, the Xin Chao Entertainment crew said they spent many months planning, surveying a series of large theaters, checking sound - lighting, security, seating... before finding a suitable space. Along with that is the process of negotiating, preparing documents, proving ability to bring diva My Linh to stand on the stage of a prestigious theater at each stop. From stage design, lighting, mix to the entire production, all are carried out by the Vietnamese team. The hours of diligent practice are an effort for international audiences to experience a complete night of music.
The journey of “Sketch a Rose” is similar. General director Cao Trung Hieu said that the crew wanted to “bring Vietnamese music to iconic theaters around the world with 100% Vietnamese materials”. To have a “dream” performance space for more than 40 artists, they had to transport nearly 100 packages of equipment and props from Vietnam, even bringing fresh roses from home to cover the stage.
That is the way to express the spirit that singer Ha Anh Tuan pursues: "Singapore, Australia, America are all excuses for me to dream a common dream of Vietnamese music, raised high with pride and humanity in the vast world of humanity". This is not only an artistic dream, but also an effort to prove the creativity and organizational ability of Vietnamese professionals. After the successful performances of singer Ha Anh Tuan abroad, international theaters sent further invitations for cooperation.
Similarly, the concert “Anh trai say hi” in Las Vegas shows the ambition to expand the market of the Vietnamese entertainment industry. A representative of DatVietVAC - the production unit said that bringing “Anh trai say hi” to the PH Live stage is considered a strategic step to affirm the organizational capacity, product quality and global thinking of the Vietnamese creative team. This is not only an opportunity for young artists to affirm their ability to perform on the international stage, but also an opportunity for overseas audiences and world music lovers to access a dynamic part of the Vietnamese entertainment market.
Music, with its borderless language, is becoming a bridge between Vietnam and the world. But for that journey to go far, the most important thing is still “Vietnamese quality”. Singer My Linh shared that what she brings to the world is not just her voice, but also her love for her homeland, her memories of youth, and “a Vietnamese greeting to the world”.
Such successful 100% Vietnamese shows abroad open the way for Vietnamese music to join the global flow. Each show is an opportunity for the domestic performing industry to rub shoulders, learn and gradually affirm its position in the international market.
