Photography seminar celebrating the 72nd anniversary of the photography tradition of the Hai Phong City Association of Photographic Artists

(NADS) - On the afternoon of March 13, at the headquarters of the Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Hai Phong City and the Hai Phong Photography Association held a ceremony to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam Photography Tradition Day (March 15, 1953 - March 15, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were Meritorious Artist - Director Le Nhu Hai, Chairman of the Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association, and the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association. The ceremony was also attended by members of the Hai Phong Photography Association and members of photography clubs in the city.

At the ceremony, Artist Nguyen Viet Rung, Head of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Hai Phong City, reviewed the 72-year history of Vietnam's revolutionary photography, and the achievements of the Association and Hai Phong photography in general over the years. Among them, there were contributions from veteran artists, artists with many achievements such as the late Artist Vuong Khanh Hong, Artist Ngo Minh Nhat (both received the State Prize for Literature and Arts) and other artists such as Pham Vu Dung, Nguyen Phu Hung, Nguyen Viet Rung and many other artists.

With the core being the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Hai Phong City and the Hai Phong Photography Association, Hai Phong photography has achieved many special results in recent times. Many people have been admitted to the Hai Phong Photography Association, as well as the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and have achieved many high achievements in photography competitions and festivals such as artists Nguyen Tuan Anh, Pham Thanh Tung, Vu Lam, Luu Thanh Dat, Do Trong Luan, etc.

At the ceremony, newly admitted photographers to the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists received decisions and membership cards, while artists with outstanding achievements in the working year and competitions received certificates of merit and recognition from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

Notably, after the ceremony, the delegates attending the ceremony were able to view more than 40 selected works by artists who are members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Hai Phong City. Under the guidance of artist Luu Thanh Dat, member of the Executive Committee of the Hai Phong Association of Photographic Artists, and a newly admitted member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, artists Thanh Lang, Minh Nhat, Pham Thanh Tung, Pham Vu Dung, Nguyen Tuan Anh, and Vu Lam shared about the artistic value and methods of creating the works for display.
