Regarding the quality of fixed broadband networks in provinces and cities, the fixed broadband network speed in Da Nang city recorded a significant increase of up to 316.75Mbps download speed. Similarly, the quality of fixed networks in major cities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho also showed clear improvements compared to the previous month.

In the Q2/2025 Report of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the country currently recorded 24.4 million subscribers, an increase of 3.9% over the same period last year. The average speed reached 143.01 Mbps for download and 112.55 Mbps for upload. Notably, the rate of households using fiber optic cable reached 85.1%, an increase of 4.2% compared to 2024.

According to Ookla statistics, the average fixed-line speed in Vietnam is currently at 176.68 Mbps, significantly higher than the global average of 101.37 Mbps. Ho Chi Minh City leads the country with a speed of 201.12 Mbps, ranking 36th globally; Hanoi ranks 54th with 163.83 Mbps.

The above positive indicators reflect the effectiveness of the State's strategic policies in developing telecommunications infrastructure. Notably, Resolution 57 issued by the Politburo at the end of 2024 emphasized the need to build a digital infrastructure that is "modern, synchronous, secure, safe, efficient, and avoids waste."
