Deep gratitude to previous generations
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that when the Communist Party of Vietnam stepped onto the political stage, its members, the “flesh and blood” people with Lac Hong blood, were deeply aware of their great responsibility to the Fatherland and the times and made extremely glorious miracles, gaining independence and freedom for the country.
“History has recorded that 80 years ago, when the heroic song Tien Quan Ca resounded, the country entered the era of independence.
From that sacred sound, the entire Vietnamese nation under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, we have written a great epic with a full range of emotions - heroic and tragic, hardship and glory, aspiration and belief in a bright future," said Minister Nguyen Van Hung.
He affirmed that over the past 80 years, culture and art have accompanied the nation, creating a source of nourishment for the Vietnamese soul, strength, spirit and will.
Today's special art program not only features musical works, dances, and profound poems, but also a profound tribute to previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

My Tam, Sobin and Den foster national pride
The program, produced by the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet in collaboration with other art units, first attracted attention because of its scale and magnificent stage. Each performance usually includes hundreds of dancers accompanying the singers and the symphony orchestra.
The artists participating in the program include many entertainment stars and high-class chamber singers such as Thanh Lam, Tung Duong, My Tam, Trong Tan, Dang Duong, Den, Soobin Hoang Son, Mono, Double2T, Lam Bao Ngoc, Hoang Bach, Dong Hung, Oplus, Ngu Cung, Dong Thoi Gian...
During the 90-minute program, the audience is brought back to the heroic historical moments throughout the 80 years of hardship and glory of our nation through music.
The audience listened to the symphony My Fatherland , to a series of revolutionary songs: Footprints in the Front, The Internationale, Together We Go Red Soldiers, Vietnamese Soldiers, Hanoi People, Lo River, Dien Bien Victory, Liberation of the South, The Country Full of Joy...
Many viewers were moved when they heard songs that they had not heard for a long time on professional music stages, such as "Em di dau bien vang" (Young sea walk), "Hat ve cay lua hom nay" (Singing about rice plants today). And of course, songs such as "Khat vong tuoi tre", "Vinh quang dang cho ta", "Yeu nu cuoi Viet Nam" (Love the smile of Vietnam)...
Artist Dang Duong sings to open the show
My Tam with her powerful voice and free-spirited performance style when singing "Aspiration of Youth" . Den made many audiences "feel sorry" because early tomorrow morning he will attend the parade at the 80th National Day Celebration on September 2nd but tonight he still performs on stage.
Sobin brought youthful energy with his performance of the song Glory is Waiting for Us .
Tung Duong has recently dominated the media with million-view MVs "Writing the continuation of the peace story" and "Proudly following the future". However, in this program, he "humbly" harmonized gently with colleagues Thanh Lam and Hoang Bach in the song "Love the smile of Vietnam".
In addition to music, the program instills national pride in the audience with moving reports and scenes, especially the Declaration of Independence scene recreating the sacred moment at the historic Ba Dinh Square.
