General Secretary To Lam presented the Politburo's Decision on the establishment of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, marking a new step in the organization and consolidation of the apparatus.

On the morning of June 23, in Hanoi, General Secretary To Lam attended the meeting and presented the Politburo 's Decision on the establishment of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

This is an event of special significance, marking a new step in the organization and improvement of the apparatus, improving the effectiveness of the Vietnam Fatherland Front 's operations, meeting the requirements of national development in the era of national growth.

According to the content of Decision No. 304-QD/TW, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has the function of advising and assisting the Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of socio-political organizations at the Central level; advising and assisting the Standing Committee in managing, guiding and coordinating the activities of socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and the State at the Central level to implement the provisions of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the charters of socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and the State at the Central level and the regulations of the Party and the laws of the State; being a specialized and professional agency on the work of the Front, socio-political organizations and coordinating and guiding the professional work of mass associations.

The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (including the Chairman, Vice Chairman - General Secretary, and specialized Vice Chairmen) plays a leading role, providing comprehensive direction on the orientation of activities, management of the supporting apparatus, personnel organization, asset and finance management, and is responsible to the Central Executive Committee of the Party, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and central organizations for all activities of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is the Head of the Agency; the Vice Chairman - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is the Permanent Deputy Head of the Agency; the Vice Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front are the Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans' Association are the Deputy Heads of the Agency.

In the organizational structure, the general advisory and support departments and units include: Office; Organization and Inspection Department; Democracy, Supervision and Social Criticism Department; Social Work Department; Propaganda Department; Ethnic and Religious Department; People's Foreign Affairs Department; Mass Association Work Department; Finance and Planning Department.

The public service units include: Institute for Training, Fostering Cadres and Scientific Research; Museum of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Dai Doan Ket Newspaper.

The Decision also clearly states that the standing committees, advisory boards, support boards and public service units of socio-political organizations include: The standing committees of socio-political organizations include: the Chairman and Vice Chairmen, and for the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the First Secretary and Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Union.

The advisory and support departments and public service units of socio-political organizations are the focal points under the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (established by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, defining its functions, tasks and internal organization) to advise and assist the Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Executive Committee of socio-political organizations; manage the use of seals and accounts of the organizations, and are the units using the budget and budget estimates under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Also in the content of the Decision: The Office of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee is established by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, defining its functions and tasks; The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front establishes Advisory Councils, implements the regime of experts, seconded cadres, and collaborators to serve the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to meet practical requirements.
