CP Vietnam General Director: "Accompanying the Government towards the Net Zero goal"

On October 11th, the Vietnam Youth Union of CP Livestock Corporation (Vietnam Youth Union of CP Corporation) held its 3rd Congress for the 2024-2029 term. Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and President of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu, Executive Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Youth Solidarity and Mobilization Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, and Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union; Mr. Pawalit Ua-amornwanit – General Director of CP Livestock Corporation; and 100 delegates representing over 26,000 CP Vietnam youth attended the congress.

The 3rd Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of CP Vietnam Joint Stock Company, for the term 2024-2029, with the slogan "CP Vietnam Youth - Unity - Volunteerism - Creativity - Development," was a grand event for all CP youth. The Congress heard a report summarizing the work of the Youth Union and youth movement at CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company (CPV) during the second term, 2019-2024, and set forth directions and tasks for the Youth Union's work and youth movement during the third term, 2024-2029.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu, Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Youth Solidarity and Mobilization Department of the Central Youth Union, and Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, General Director of CP Vietnam, stated: “At this 3rd Congress for the 2024-2029 term, I pledge that the Company will continue to accompany and support the Association with human resources and other resources to implement its plans. In particular, during this term, we will intensify activities to combat food waste, reduce plastic waste, plant trees, and gradually green all production and business activities, working alongside the Vietnamese Government towards the Net Zero goal by 2050. Regarding material resources, the company commits to providing 20 billion VND to support the CP Vietnam Youth Union in implementing these projects over the next five years.”

Mr. Le Hoang Chuong, Director of Communications and Recruitment, was elected Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the Joint Stock Company for the third term, 2024-2029.

In his keynote address at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu assessed, “During the 2019-2024 term, with the attention and support of the Company's leadership, the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement achieved important results. The Union's activities have become increasingly diverse, with content gradually aligning with the needs of young people and the company's production and business situation. The movement "CP Vietnam Youth Join Hands to Express Gratitude to the Vietnamese Fatherland" has been widely implemented across branches and factories nationwide, attracting and spreading throughout the lives of young people, encouraging, motivating, and mobilizing a large number of young people to express their patriotism through concrete actions.” In particular, during the past term, the Vietnam Youth Union of the Company has actively and effectively implemented volunteer activities, leaving its mark with a series of practical projects and tasks aimed at the community, contributing to ensuring social welfare. Notable examples include a series of activities supporting the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, such as: the "Food from the Heart" project; the "Humanitarian Mask" project, providing over 20 million masks free of charge to people in provinces experiencing outbreaks; and the "Hospital at Home" project…

The leadership of the Vietnam Communist Party presented a symbolic check for 20 billion VND to support the activities of the youth movement and the work of the Association in the new term.

With the achievements made over the past five years, the Youth Union's work and youth movement at the Company have always been highly appreciated and are a leading unit among the affiliated units. The Congress elected 35 members to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of the Company for the third term, 2024-2029. Mr. Le Hoang Chuong, Director in charge of Communications and Recruitment, was elected Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the Company.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded a commendation flag to the Youth Union of Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
