The "Sustainable Development Enterprise" award is an initiative of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), to evaluate enterprises based on the CSI index - a tool to measure comprehensive sustainable development values in terms of economy, environment, and society. This index not only supports enterprises in improving processes but also serves as a foundation for change management, towards sustainable production and business activities. CP Vietnam has been recognized as a “Sustainable Development Enterprise” for many consecutive years, affirming the company’s commitment to sustainable development in particular and CP Group in general. In addition, the Top 5 award on implementing circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions also shows the company’s efforts in achieving the goal towards 2030: Reducing 15% of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions per production unit compared to the base year 2020, and by 2050 achieving zero net emissions through investing in energy-saving equipment and machinery, implementing an energy management system to monitor consumption, searching for and applying renewable energy (solar energy, biomass), and stopping the use of coal from 2021. CPV actively applies the circular economy model, minimizing environmental impacts and supporting the protection of natural ecosystems. A typical example is the project to plant 1.5 million trees in Vietnam in the period of 2021-2025, of which 500,000 trees are at the company's factory and farm system, and 1,000,000 trees are through cooperation with local authorities and departments.

Mr. Worawit Arunraksa, Representative of CP Vietnam received the award "Top 5 Pioneering Enterprises implementing circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2024".

In 2024, the CSI Program attracted nearly 500 businesses nationwide, from different types and sizes of businesses to submit applications. This number shows that the level of interest in Sustainable Development in the country has improved significantly, reflecting the transformation in awareness and actions of businesses. Sharing at the event, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan emphasized that participating in the CSI 100 program has played an important role in the sustainable development journey of CP Vietnam. The CSI index helps businesses improve their management systems, increase competitiveness and strengthen trust with the community, consumers, as well as partners in the supply chain. With the closed 3F Plus model: Feed (seeds and animal feed, aquatic feed), Farm (breeding animals and farms), Food (food processing and distribution), “Plus” (sustainable development, traceability, and environmental friendliness), CPV's business sectors have joined forces to join hands in sustainable development. The award recognized this time is the “sweet fruit” that the departments in the company have cultivated together. CPV's sustainability journey is not only limited to meeting national and international standards, but also actively supporting the community and protecting the environment. The company continuously innovates its strategy, from business development to implementing the United Nations' sustainable development goals, through: applying the circular economy model, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, implementing nature conservation projects and supporting sustainable livelihoods for the community. As a business that always aims for social and environmental responsibility, CPV continues to affirm its mission of "From farm to kitchen", and is steadfast in its goal of becoming the "Kitchen of the World " with sustainable, long-term values. For CP Vietnam, sustainable development is not only a commitment but also a core foundation, where the interests of the country and the community are always prioritized. The company constantly strives to build a sustainable economic ecosystem, in harmony with society and the environment, so that every step forward of CP Vietnam is for a green, prosperous and sustainably developed Vietnam.
