Summary of 10 years of operation of the Fund to support poor workers and civil servants

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of August 23, the Fund for Supporting Poor Workers and Civil Servants, the City Labor Federation (CLF) held a conference to summarize 10 years of operation (2014 - 2024). Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the City Labor Federation; Vu Thi Hanh, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Hai Phong Branch; comrades leading relevant agencies and units inside and outside the city.

With the motto of focusing on the grassroots, taking union members, workers and civil servants as the target and goal of activities, after 10 years, the total capital of the Fund has reached over 60 billion VND, 12 times higher than when it was established. There have been 519 grassroots unions accessing capital, 7,205 workers benefiting. Most union members and workers who have accessed capital have used it for the right purpose and effectively, not only solving the employment problem for family members but also gradually improving their lives and striving to become rich legitimately. The Hai Phong Fund for Poor Workers and Civil Servants is recognized as a bright spot in the country.

City Labor Federation donates capital to the Fund for poor workers and civil servants

At the Conference, the City Labor Federation presented the Poor Workers' and Civil Servants' Fund with a banner bearing the words "Innovation - Creativity - Solidarity - Development" for 10 years; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the City Labor Federation and the Poor Workers' and Civil Servants' Fund presented Certificates of Merit to many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in contributing to the effective operation of the Fund, bringing practical benefits to union members in difficult circumstances.

The fund to support poor workers and civil servants received a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On this occasion, the Fund for Poor Workers and Civil Servants presented gifts to support 20 union members, and 20 children of union members with difficult circumstances who have achieved excellent academic results. The Fund for Poor Workers and Civil Servants launched an emergency loan product disbursed within 8 working hours, with a minimum amount of 2 million VND, up to 60% of salary for social insurance, helping union members pay for tuition, medical examination and treatment, take care of weddings and funerals, pay living expenses, buy supplies, do business , etc.
