Summary of 15 years of implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"

On the afternoon of August 7, the Provincial Steering Committee for the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" held a conference to summarize 15 years of implementing the campaign, period 2009 - 2024.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee; Vu Thanh Van, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Pham Dong Thuy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Vu Ngoc Tri, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

After 15 years of implementation, the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" has been responded to by all levels, sectors, and a large number of businesses and people in the province. The propaganda and mobilization work to raise awareness and change the behavior of producers and consumers has been promoted with rich content, contributing to raising awareness of the whole society, introducing and promoting Vietnamese products to consumers. The work of reviewing and promulgating additional mechanisms to implement the campaign; activities to support businesses in promoting, distributing, consuming goods, and expanding the market have been focused on and promoted by departments and sectors. Agencies and organizations that are members of the Provincial Steering Committee have proactively and actively implemented inspection and supervision activities according to their functions and tasks, contributing to strengthening market management, ensuring transparency of information, creating fairness for businesses and consumer rights. Many products produced in the province have gradually affirmed their product brands, with the proportion of Vietnamese goods in supermarkets and retail outlets accounting for 75%.

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee acknowledged and commended the results achieved in implementing the campaign and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the members of the Steering Committee.

He also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the implementation of the campaign; at the same time, he requested members of the steering committees at all levels, agencies, units and localities to continue to promote propaganda, raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees and authorities in implementing the campaign. Proactively develop accurate and effective programs and plans, contributing to spreading the campaign in the area. Strengthen leadership and direction, especially in state management in all fields; pay attention to removing difficulties and recommendations of enterprises in introducing, promoting images, digital transformation, market management, fighting against counterfeit goods, fake goods, and poor quality goods, helping brands and quality products gain a foothold in the market. Strengthen investment promotion, bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas. Enterprises regularly improve designs and improve product quality to maintain their brands and product reputation in the market. The Provincial Business Association promotes the role of connecting and supporting the business community in production and business activities as well as implementing the campaign.

Comrade Vu Thanh Van, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee awarded certificates of merit to outstanding collectives in implementing the campaign.

On this occasion, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded 20 outstanding collectives and individuals in implementing the campaign.
