After nearly 4 months of launching (from September 12, 2024 to December 31, 2024), the Organizing Committee received 148 works, including 1 work donated by artist Do Nhu Diem, member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, and 147 entries from 37 authors who are professional artists, non-professional artists, students of universities, colleges of fine arts, and culture and arts.
Commenting on the quality of the contest, Mr. Ngo Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: Most of the entries are the latest works, of good quality, creatively explored in many forms, in accordance with the rules and criteria of the contest, meeting the requirements of aesthetics such as: rich and concise composition, color, and shapes. Many works have a new artistic style, overcoming the old ways of composing propaganda paintings.
Through images and words, it shows the characteristics and typical features of the land and people of Ha Nam, the patriotic tradition, glorious history, and indomitable spirit of Ha Nam in the resistance war; the economic , cultural, and social achievements of the province in the process of construction and development, especially in the cause of national renewal.
After 5 rounds of judging, the Jury selected 34 works of good quality, with content that is on topic, serving propaganda work, of which 11 best works were awarded: 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 5 Encouragement Prizes. The winning works will be sent to districts, towns and cities for widespread propaganda at the grassroots level.
